Listening to others is absolutely the best course of action, and the bats are removed without a single one nearing him, though they make a mess of everything else. A low chuckle leaves Nate, a tight grin spread across his face. [say]"That could have been worse, huh?"[/say]

Well obviously he's the best man for the job of lifting and organizing, never mind the fact that every single one of them is just as strong, just as tireless, and just as capable of the grunt work as he was. Maybe he just really didn't want to clean up the glass, maybe he had a vested interest in checking for himself that all the bats had been flushed out.

Whatever his reasons, Nate grabs a pile of boxes no taller than he is and gets to work transporting them into the stock room, a rough song humming out of him as he works. It grows a touch more suspicious once he's actually in the room, sharp eyes glancing around the upper corners while he organizes the boxes.

It's a little bit of chaos, alright. Most of the bats got the memo and exit neatly and politely through the open windows, but a few of them seem more interested in protesting their eviction. Aamu stands with his hands on his hips and a scowl on his face, watching Mabel urge the last of the humming creatures out into their relative (and cold) freedom.

He has to admit it's kinda funny. Four Ascended and a broom versus a cloud of bats. Casualties: a bed and some lanterns. When Nate chuckles, Aamu joins in. [say]"Yeah,"[/say] he agrees, starting towards the ruined bed. In that moment, he's glad for his muted senses. Fresh bat guano, mmmh.

Aamu carefully folds the sheets up so as to not spill any batshit on the clean floor and moves away to deposit it wherever Isla wants dirty laundry. He returns with some clean sheets, makes sure the bed itself and the curtains are clean, before making it up nice and proper again.

[say]"All things considered, it could have been terrible!"[/say] Isla agrees with a chuckle, finding herself joining Nate with moving all of the boxes into the stock room. Between them they manage to move stocks of bandages, spare sheets and curtains, hospital gowns and other various medical equipment into the space, along with the jars of herbs he'd been working on.

And when they're done, the infirmary is clean again, the bed is changed, and the place is bat-free and ready for action once more. [say]"It's like going back in time,"[/say] Isla remarks. [say]"Thank you, everyone. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it."[/say] Moving to close up the windows again to keep the cold out (for anyone who isn't Ascended, anyway), the infirmary is officially open for business again.
