PHOEBE
It was nice, simply being held. Not a list of questions, not surrounded by squiggly circles and connected particles – that she could see in technicolor perfection anyways. Phoebe was happy to hide against his chest, his hand running over her hair soothing. At length he did finally speak and she remembered that not everyone knew what she did when it came to such things.

She nodded a little, wiping at her eyes to dry any remnants of tears. ”As in, the pregnancy was literally just a check, to make sure that everything was working properly. It…may not have been intended to go fully to term. A lot of women wouldn’t have even realized what I did.” she said with a quiet sigh, swallowing a lump of emotion in her throat. It was probably an odd concept for him to understand, seeing as his body lacked all of the capabilities to do what hers could. Why would he know anything about it?

His second question elicited a small but mirthless laugh and she shook her head. ”No, no. A miscarriage at this stage is like a very heavy, very fast menstrual cycle with extra cramping.” she said with a light shrug. ”Most would have mistaken it for such. But…Frey visited me – just offering me comfort, I’m fine.” she said, adding that last bit on at the end, knowing he was less than fond of the deity. ”But they also healed the remaining discomfort I felt.” she assured.
Cause getting your dreams
It's strange, but it seems
A little - well - complicated
There's a kind of a sort of : cost
There's a couple of things get: lost
There are bridges you cross
You didn't know you crossed
Until you've crossed
And if that joy, that thrill
Doesn't thrill you like you think it will
Still, why am I not happier?
