Sohalia was nervous.

She was more comfortable appealing to Frey, having heard mixed opinions of Safrin. But for this particular request, she felt more called to the starry goddess.

The Luminary made her way to the shrine that was Aumakua, a coconut held in her hand. Upon closer inspection, it would become clear that the coconut was studded with little holes. If a candle was sat inside, the coconut would become a map of the stars, shining little lights from within. Soh hoped that it was a good enough offering. It was simple, and not as flashy as some other options, but it had caught her eye in the market and she couldn't help but make the purchase. Besides, it was a fitting gift from a cartographer, in her opinion.

Setting the coconut on the shrine, Soh knelt and bowed her head. "Safrin? I know you're probably busy, but I could use your help. I'm going to be trying to take Stormbreak back from the Family soon, and I need to be able to defend myself and others in order to do it. Can you help me?"

The coconut sits silently on the shrine, its starry holes casting faint patterns in the dim light of Aumakua. The ocean breeze drifts softly through the area, whispering secrets only it can understand. But from Safrin herself? Not even the faintest shimmer of acknowledgment.

Whether she is occupied with grand cosmic designs or merely chooses not to answer this time, the result is the same: an unbroken silence, leaving only the sound of the sea and your thoughts to fill the void.

The only movement was the ocean breeze. Sohalia sat for a while, watching the coconut with slowly dimming hope. For some reason, she'd really thought that Safrin would appear in all her starlit glory, but the longer she waited, the more ridiculous that sureness seemed.

After enough time had passed that she was sure Safrin wasn't coming, Sohalia straightened the coconut on the shrine and slowly left, casting one last look over her shoulder. Perhaps Safrin was simply busy, or perhaps the goddess hadn't liked the offering... but she supposed it could be worse. She could have been cursed.

She'd have to try again, that was all. And hope for better luck next time.
