What do you get when two ruthless assassins raise their daughter travelling through the wildest reaches of Caido? Take one look at Theea and you'll get a pretty good idea. Cheerful and tenacious in equal measure, and curious beyond all else, she began her journey on a mission to find those her mother once called family. And find them she did, soon rubbing elbows with demigods, leaders and even ghosts from the past. Her determination is resolute, her thirst for knowledge unmatched. We can't wait to see where her next adventure takes her!

Sah was anxious. He didn't want to let either of the twins out of his sight, but the household did still need groceries. The wolves were standing guard and updating him every few minutes on the state of things. Even with that, the Wild Thunder had zero intention of delaying his errand.
Flowerbirth brought merchants and trade. Even if there were less than usual given recetn events, there were stalls set up along the road. Various goods and exotic foods were placed on display as their eager sellers boasted deals. Stopping by one, Sah traded a fox fur for a fresh fruit. A few cartons of berries would be a nice surprise for Soleil and Luka. It wasn't much, but any distraction or scrap of joy was worth the effort.

Noe had never been to Halo, but when she’d received a request from the tundra for some building plans, she’d been more than happy to make her way north - especially now that the sun had returned and, with it, warmer temperatures. Even so, she’d dressed for the weather today in a thick coat, sturdy boots, gloves, and a scarf, and her dark, wavy hair was tucked into a warm woolen hat. Mika rode in her usual spot around her bonded’s neck, burrowed beneath the scarf for warmth. The cold of Halo was not the mata mata’s preferred climate, and she was more than happy to stick close to Noe to borrow heat.
The engineer had delivered the plans she’d drawn up this morning, and was now headed back to the inn room she’d procured for her stay to make some changes requested by her client. With a few rolls of paper in a long protective tube under her arm, she strolled through a marketplace, pausing every now and then to take a look at the vendors’ wares. She saw a man trade a fox fur for some fresh fruit and approached, seemingly without a care in the world. ”Hi!” she said to man and merchant. ”Can I get some berries, too?” As the merchant turned to procure the goods, she glanced at the man nearby. ”I’m surprised Halo has fresh fruit this early in the season,” she mused aloud. ”Is it grown locally?”

Sah moved so that the woman approaching the merchant had room to make her purchase, "Hi." She was surprisingly cheerful, and he intended to leave so that she could focus on her transaction. Before he could leave however, her question stopped him. "Sometimes things come from the Greenhouse, which is magically maintained to allow plants that would normally die, to thrive. Other times they're imported as soon as they're harvested." The merchant indicated that these had come from the Greenhouse as they handed the woman her order. The hybrid stepped back onto the main path as more people approached to purchase the precious fruit.
He tilted his head at the stranger, "What brings you to Halo?" It wasn't typically odd for people to visit during the region's warmest season. Yet with the recent attacks, Sah hadn't expected many tourists to risk the trip.

Whether Noe was determinedly cheerful in spite of or because of Sah’s seemingly tense mood was something that was neither here nor there. Perhaps she was simply oblivious. Either way, the girl was able to glean some information from the stranger and collect some berries from the merchant without any problems. ”Oooo, a greenhouse. That makes perfect sense,” Noe said, popping a blueberry into her mouth as she stepped away from the stall. She’d never really considered how somewhere like Halo would stay fed, but of course they must have crops and goods to consume and barter.
”I’m just visiting,” Noe said, looking around, seemingly unaware of Sah’s eyes on her. ”I run an engineering firm in Stormbreak, and someone from up here commissioned a floor plan for a house. I just finished delivering it and thought I’d stay a few days to see the sights. Got any suggestions?”

Sah focused more on the conversation as the woman spoke. "You live in Stormbreak? How are things there?" The region had been on his mind for some time, even more so since Dahlia and the Family had started targeting Halo. He was worried about how the non-infected citizens were holding up under their rule.
Along that train of thought, Sah couldn't lame the woman for wanting to sightsee as a distraction. "There's a nice cafe about a block from here, closer to the center of the Citadel. It's run by an elderly couple, and they make some of the best pastries around. The Kraai bar is also usually open if you want a drink."
He let out a hum as he considered other possibilities. "I'd typically recommend the hot springs, but they were destroyed during LongNight, unfortunately. But the Greenwing is beautiful if you want to spend some time in nature and relax that way." It was surprisingly difficult to give recommendations. The hybrid's usual haunts were either the wilderness or the training grounds.

People always seemed to be so interested in how Stormbreak was doing, as if the Family’s presence would have turned the city into a dystopian wasteland. Resisting the urge to roll her eyes, Noe said, ”Things are good! We had a taco party before LongNight. That was pretty fun.” Then she’d gone to Torchline and partied with Flora, of all people, and now she was here. Frankly, she should have just stayed in Torchline, but business called.
Sah’s recommendations, however, were appreciated, and Noe perked up to hear of restaurants and bars that were available. It was a shame about the hot springs, but maybe she could get behind a hike or something in the Greenwing. ”Thanks for the recommendations,” she said. ”If you ever come to Stormbreak, I’ll be glad to return the favor. I’m Noe Carpenter - just send me a letter.”

Sah let out a hum, surprised at her response. "A taco party? That sounds fun." Incredibly out of touch with current events but he couldn't blame the region for finding any coping mechanism that they could. Food was always a good choice.
"I'm Sah, it's nice to meet you." Noe was incredibly cheerful and something about her invite seemed off. It was laid-back, as if there was nothing going wrong in Stormbreak at all. It'd be a lie to say that the hunter wasn't slightly unnerved. "If I'm ever heading that way, I'll let you know." Being polite seemed like a safe bet. Though he had no intention of entering the region again anytime soon.
Much to his relief, Lilly came trotting over with a basket in her mouth filled with bread. The wolf placed it down at Sah's feet and gave a happy yip. Reaching down, he rubbed her ears before addressing Noe, "Seems I'm being called home. I'll see you around." With a final wave, the hunter made his way home.
