Melita had meant what’d she said when she’d offered to be quick – the quest for cannons an insatiable plunge for all things explosive and demonstrative. Bouncing and bounding back towards her favored shrine, she brought all sorts of goodies yet again. The necessities, like the smolder blossoms (lined in a bag so no one was getting burnt to a crisp) and the bucket of ore and rock were hastened along and placed resolutely upon a lower altar, before springing out a pack of pick-a-mix items from the local candy shop, including some lemon drops, chocolate clusters, and pop rock assortments.

“Hey Ludo, I did everything!” The Firecracker had done wonders in the makeshift training race, and some pirates had been exploded upon in the sea – a welcome memory for some and a hellish, nightmare combination for others. Not her problem, obviously. She stood, smiling and resolute, ready and eager to see the raggedy herald once more.

Ludo "You really were quick," Ludo chimes, immediately clambering around from its usual perch on the statue to grab up the goodies that Melita has brought - along with the smoulder blossoms, rock and ore. Pop rocks are evidently a wildly entertaining choice, and the herald's next words are uttered around a chorus of crackling candy. "This should do great! Blow something up for me, okay?" It grins, blackened fingertips stuffing a few chocolate clusters into its mouth as well. It works on tucking the rest of the sweets into its rags with a particular sort of care, as if trying to ensure that the tastiest morsels are within the easiest reach, and by the time it's finished, the items Melita has brought for her quest have also vanished. "Have fun," Ludo tells her, poppily. Melita has completed her quest and has received the following: Poprock Cannons | The Firecracker has been equipped with cannons. Curiously, they sound a bit like popping candy when they fire.

Ludo’s reactions always made the whole ventures worthwhile, and she strayed amidst the shrine to witness and watch as the pop rocks found high favor (soon to be a surprise when she inevitably blew something sky high to the tune of the delicious candy). “Of course I will!” She uttered on a chaotic promise of demolition and destruction.

And before long, the dessert and treat assortments had been carefully, perhaps even artfully arranged, amidst the other foils. Dusting her hands off, she figured her work was done, and the plunge into the desert would be soon upon them. Pew pew pew, whatever fucking void monster lurked there. With a touch of her wry grin, she skipped upwards, hands full of the cannons and fully intending to place them on her skyboat immediately. “Thanks so much! Enjoy yourself too!” There’d be more where all of that came from.
