Things still felt off, like he couldn’t quite get rid of the tension between his shoulders as he makes the trek from the Dusklight to the Temple. It was close, at least, that his absence wouldn’t be that long, and if there was ever a good reason for it he has no doubt that Dygra is the best choice. So he treks there, dressed down as he’s been doing this season. Relatively tight pants, dark billowy shirt tucked in with the sleeves rolled up, and gasp no waistcoat in sight.

His horned head still boasts the Haunt’s help in a larger than normal rack of antlers, spreading out with thin tines not unlike spider legs when he reaches the obsidian destruction amongst the precision of the rest of the room of the shrine, and the butcher flattens out his piece of void villi’s lace before he turns his attention to the glittering rubies around.

Darling Dygra.” The butcher purrs as he slices his palm on the ruby, letting more of the scarlet blood of his spread along the shrine, taking a deep inhale of the sudden scent of iron. “I have acquired this lace. Will you help me craft it into armor?” The butcher asks, peering at his palm as blood continues to bubble along the small jagged line, before his attention lifts to the surrounding temple and the flames that flicker in the sconces.

Asta is seeking a quest to make armor out of this:

Type: Dark | Style: Other | Level: Mastered

Spectral Villis Lace | The lacy cloak of a Spectral Villis which can be created into armour by a god. The cloak provides mastered-level protection against attacks but makes the wearer attack whoever is closest to them while wearing it.

I’m not sure if its possible to make it collapsable armor (maybe into a necklace?) I’m open for ideas :3

The world is new to you, and you to it. During PQ/PQ+/KQs/Drops, you roll with advantage on luck-based rolls and receive an extra name during drops. (In order to use this, make sure to note the ability at the bottom of each post)

Regional Score bonus: +5 in all shrine visits, drops, PQ+s, KQs, etc. (You must post this at the bottom of any post where a +5 should be included). Residents cannot be cursed at shrines in this region.

Dygra
The flames in the sconces flicker low and shadowed, before bursting into blinding heat and illumination with a soft roar. Astaroth's blood spiders out across the obsidian slab of its own accord, seeking cracks and patterns with no order, no rhyme or reason, and though the world will be difficult for the butcher this season, here in the presence of his goddess, he will feel good. He'll feel right. A deep warmth will flood his bones, easing the tension in his muscles and allowing him to relax as much as he wishes.

"My gentleman butcher," Dygra purrs, her voice suffusing the shrine, phantom hands ghosting along the back of Asta's shoulders. The lace flutters against the obsidian. "How fitting that you of all people would wish to take something not of this world and make it yours." Her laughter is pleased and sultry, and for just a moment he'll feel the weight of his horns as if they are as large and impressive as his haunt makes them, before it's gone once more.

"Certainly we can. But you will need to become used to the possibility of chaos in your every blow. I trust you are up to the challenge."

Asta has received a quest! He must:

1. Complete a thread spilling enough of his own blood to soak the villi lace with it.
2. Complete a thread striking/hitting someone important to him without pulling his punches.
3. Complete a thread blindfolded, embracing the chaos of not knowing what might happen next.
4. Complete a thread fighting and slaying a Cockatrice in King's End.

Cockatrice (uncommon/mythical) - The cockatrice looks like a hideous hybrid of lizard, bird, and bat, and it is infamous for its ability to turn flesh to stone. These omnivores have a diet that consists of berries, nuts, flowers, and small animals such as insects, mice, and frogs—things they can swallow whole. They would be no threat to anything else if not for their fierce and frenzied response to even a hint of danger. A cockatrice flies into the face of any threat, squawking and madly beating its wings as its head darts out to peck. The smallest scratch from a cockatrice's beak can spell doom as its victim slowly turns to stone from the injury.

The flames arrive and with it the relaxed exhale of a comfortable sigh from the butcher. His smile brightens, gaze following the spidering trails of his blood as it moves of its own accord - or perhaps simply Dygra’s will. And in her presence, everything starts to feel normal for the moment, like he’s back to his old self and not in a constant state of ready to fight. He feels warm and light, perfectly crafted as he always does in his goddess’ presence, and when her voice blooms from the shrine and the invisible hands ghost along his shoulders, he relaxes even further, letting the exhaustion sink into his bones for a few long moments.

His head feels heavier, the expanded horns bearing all the weight of its gemstone counterpart as he nods to her sultry and pleased comment. “I believe that since it is here, why not make it something wholly unique?” His lips twist in a slight smirk, before he’s bowing his head as confirmation entirely that he would be up for the challenge.

He always is when it comes to her.

I look forward to the challenge. Thank you, my dark lady.” He keeps his head bowed as he speaks, his voice warm with the hint of excitement, hearing the tasks as they’re laid out and finding them rather exciting in comparison to his last quest which had to do with the gore crow charm. This he could handle. This he looks forward to.

He lingers until her warmth is gone from the shrine, with his quiet promise that he would return soon to her with the tasks complete.
