Frankly, he didn’t think he needed to know what would happen to him beyond bad shit. At her next question however, he took corners even faster. At this point, he couldn’t even say where he was, so he wouldn’t have been able to answer even if he had been dumb enough to say something. She was probably a much better tracker than he was, so when he came to a fork in the labyrinth, he made took some very obvious steps in one direction. Then he backed up carefully, stepping back where he had. Reaching the fork again, he turned and moved ahead, trying to leave as few marks of his passage behind as possible.
