There’s been an incredible influx of people to the Temple, and many of the rooms had already been taken. And while she could have remained in where Bastien had been staying, she’s chosen to get just a bit more quiet – the infirmary, if only for a time to get her bearings, to figure out what to do from here, to be out of the way since she obviously can’t do anything on her own anymore. Perhaps she’s a bit upset by this, but… Well, that was in the past.
Footsteps pass and she can hear the scuffling here and there, focusing on it like how she used to count sheep to fall asleep, when in reality all she does is scan over and over and over again.
But the footsteps approach closer, and she grows more alert, head tilting slightly on the pillow toward the sound, before she can hear the clicking of hooves. Has Deimos already come to check on her? When he likely has better things to do? But no – the voice that reaches her, that says her name, suddenly makes her feel so much better. Peter. He reaches out to touch her hand, and she does her best to squeeze, but her bones don’t quite work well enough with the splint – and so all she can offer is a tired smile his way.
“Peter?” She greets quietly, smile faltering slightly. “Are you alright?” She asks quietly, knowing that he’s here and not left behind in the crumbled Monster Hunter’s Guild. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s fine, that he’s okay, and she hopes that regardless of what happened that he’d remained safe. She slides over on the bed a bit, to make room for him should he choose to sit – eyes covered by the dark navy bandana in replacement of her eyes, but her head tilts toward him awaiting a response.
