PHOEBE
Phoebe considered what he had to say quietly for a moment. "Worrying about your future and that of others got you here though, and as you've said it isn't exactly the most pleasant. So perhaps you ought to try a different approach to see if you get different results." she suggested. It was what she was struggling to do after all. It wasn't easy but...each day made it a little easier. Eventually, she might even emulate the healthy detachment of Frey...if in a slightly altered for a human reality sort of way.

"Oh? What other way do you think there is?" she said, genuinely curious how he thought he had a different viable solution to the problem she presented about her own potential emotions. Whatever it was was bound to be entertaining since she knew herself better than anyone. Except Frey maybe. "I've also noticed you are your own worst critic. I think you ought let me decide for myself what I consider tolerable or difficult in another person." she said, a slightly playful tone in her voice. He was awfully presumptuous about her emotions.

But his sudden change and curse made her eyes widen. "Watch your mouth, there are children here!" she snipped at him, a motherly, chiding tone in her voice. But aa he ticked off her various accomplishments, her expression fell a bit. "Yes. I've done and do all those things. It doesn't mean I'm special. Not to anyone but you apparently." she said with a melancholic smile. But that was fine by her. She didn't need to be special. She was just a common girl making her way in the world, looking for love where there was none as she went.
You thought you'd watch me fade away
When you broke me into pieces
But I gave I gave each piece a name
