Amun was lounging underneath the shade of a tree, staring at the blue sky above. For once, he’d shucked off his cloak, though it was draped over a branch. He was laying in the grass, propped up on his elbows. Even though he couldn’t feel the pleasure of it brushing against his bare skin, he remembered the sensation.
An easy smile lurked on his lips, and he whistled a cheerful tune. Mostly he was watching all the people in the distance getting ready for Fiat Lux. He'd done his time, and would enjoy the fruits of their labors soon enough. However, it wasn't long before a swarm of bees descended upon him. They held no fear, since he was almost certainly immune to their venom. In fact, they made a musical sort of hum as they buzzed about, and so he began to harmonize with them, still whistling.
