He’d heard they simply vanished. But he wasn’t entirely sure what truth there was to it. He couldn’t blame them, but there was a part of him that wanted to apologize – to tell Remi that he’d tried, suffocating and becoming crushed by the weight of the mud monster that carried him along. Only it seems the more the time goes on, the more truth there is to it – and he ends up at the Alchemist’s shop – wondering if whomever else knew that the man was missing might want a chance to swipe something.
He hadn’t told his guild to do anything about it – perhaps he could tell them to come grab something to return once the Alchemist was found. Whenever that was. If ever that was.
But he figures he can take an item anyway, ensure that at least if Remi is found, that the man could get it back. Get something back. So he spends a bit perusing, fingers combing through books and sketches, until it lands on something of interest. A parchment that seems of more importance and more interest than the others, something that might have some sort of meaning to the Alchemist with how its surface was plain in comparison to the rest of the scattered pieces of paper and parchment. Rolling it up carefully, he slips it into his pocket, giving a glance around the shop once more for any sign of the man who'd taught him to fly, before departing.
