Maea sat quiet for a while after that, mulling over the gloomy subject like she so often did. But after a while, the girl reached up to rub her face with pale hands, took a deep breath and turned back to Delphia, with a new smile.
"Sorry, that took a gloomy turn. I did not mean to make this any kind of interview... Truth be told, I was really looking forward to meeting you. Hoped we might get along, beyond the task at hand."
