Finally having caught his breath, Loren rolled to his feet with a groan. He limped over to where Sunjata was pinned beneath the dragon. ”Just trying to beat your ass.” The words came out with a snarl, and the healer glared down at the bartender.
However, there was weirdly something lighter about the Launceleyn’s posture. Despite the pain, he felt as if something had eased in his chest. Perhaps the other man would sense it, given that Loren wasn’t exactly keeping his mental walls down.
He snorted at Sunjata’s complaint. ”My magic and my creatures are part of me.” Hands clenching into fists, the healer continued to stare down at the bartender. ”Maybe next time, though. I can't imagine it'll go much better for you, though." The Launceleyn tilted his head to the side. "Do you yield?”
