Georgia
like wildflowers you must allow yourself to grow
in all the places people thought you never would

Tending the garden kept Georgia busy through most of the morning. Plants needed to be watered, weeds needed to be pulled so they wouldn't crowd and suffocate the useful plants, certain things needed to be harvested before their effectiveness was diminished, and clippings needed to be taken so she could get new plants started to carry through to the next year. It was soothing work that kept her busy for hours at a time, but the downfall to that was that she rarely ventured far from the little cottage and its garden. The only time that ever happened was when she went out to forage in the wilds for things she had not grown.

Once her morning routine of tending the garden was completed the next part of Georgia's day consisted of hanging herbs and flowers to dry so that they could be ground down at a later time. But it didn't stop there. She always had dried herbs that were ready to be ground, bottled, and put away for use at a later time.

The sound of the mortar and pestle grinding together was a sound that the red head had come to enjoy and she often found herself humming quietly as she worked. Her concentration usually remained focused soley on the task at hand, so it wasn't unusual for her to lose track of the time. It was unusual for her to stop and look out of the window, but that was exactly what she did. Her movement stopped and silence fell over the small cottage as she watched a woman venture out of the treeline and toward her cottage. The last time she'd had a visitor had been Tristan when he'd fallen into her garden and smashed some of her flowers to bits.

Georgia stepped away from the table where she had been working and headed out to greet the stranger. Once outside she lifted her arm to shield her eyes from the sunlight. "Hello!" She called out, waving to the other woman. "Can I help you?"
