I couldn't get the boy to kill me but I wore his jacket for the longest time
The darkness wraps around them like a cold blanket, smothering out all but the faintest light as they move deeper. It's still easy to talk though, worry not touching Nate yet. I know all about the patch. The words are lightly amused, almost joking, which only makes the shift that much more jarring when the next thoughts come. I might've asked, if I ever saw her. And therein really, is the crux of the problem. Of the annoyance, the frustration, the hurt.

Nate kicked down deeper than Wessex, slipping past her the way down. Least it's a big, dark, underwater hole, right? Narrows the options of what could be hiding. At least, that was the theory. Not that it really bothered him either way. He had enough faith in Wessex to not just leave him at the bottom of the ocean if shit went down.
