Her memories were beads jumbled loose in a box
From beneath the small bit of water that separated her from the surface, Delta could mostly make out what they were saying. Only really when they came close to the edge could she truly make it out. It sounded like normal talking and it was only when she heard the name Saiden that her ears perked up. Peering up above her, she made eye contact with the young girl, the one who spoke Saiden's name.
Slowly, Delta emerged from the water, allowing her head to break the surface. Tilting her head, she watched the girl and offered her a small wave and a smile. It seemed rude to speak at this point- they were in the middle of a conversation! That would just be improper and most likely leave a bad impression of her, but also, the girl noticed her and it would be absolutely rude to just ignore her. So Delta had a compromise: a wave. It was short, sweet, and that little smile hopefully would be enough to show the girl that Delta was friendly.
At first, Delta really wanted to know who the two were and how they knew Saiden, after all, Saiden most likely isn't a common name. But now? She was a bit interested in the girl, curious to see what she would do next.
