They might not be friends, or even introduced properly yet (wow rude), but they are working together, and that's reason enough for Nate to step in behind whoever the thugs were, cracking his knuckles as he goes, just to add to the image a little bit. He doesn't need the preparation to throw a punch. Zeph seems to think they can take the diplomatic route though, and it's reason enough for Nate to keep still, keep from throwing the first punch.
Funnily enough, being the silent muscle, the intimidation factor, is something familiar to Nate, a job he'd had on and off since he was an over developed sixteen year old. He'd always run his mouth a little too much to really settle into it, but he can keep it up for the next few minutes, or however long it takes to convince the thugs that they'd be better off talking later.
And if they don't come to that decision, well. He's been aching for a fight lately.
