Only stopping at the other man's question, the Ascended sighed. "I came from the sky and landed in the water. But that wasn't me, and even if it was, I can't go back again." He sagged against the crystal wall, pressing one side of his face against it. "Unless you know the way back?" It came out in a whisper.
Zhanshi, having swum back and forth at Chulane's feet darted forward. Mouth opening wide, the landshark would try to bite down on the vet's feet, though not hard enough to break the skin. Watching silently, Amun smiled at the exchange. "No biting."
