In an endless game of hide and seek

Anden jumped back startled as Alina revealed herself, the leaf that he cradled fell to the ground. He felt the spikes along his back start to rise. He paused, trying to calm himself down. Even in a place as beautiful as this, people found a way to startle him. Alina was... flying? Anden stared slightly confused at the woman infront of him. He knew some people like Oliver could transform into an animal, but he had no idea some people in Caido could fly.

"No." Anden hesitated. "This isn't my home." Though the thought did cross his mind. Would it be dark enough here for him to live? Or did someone already live deep within the thicket of the forest. Anden didn't want to risk finding either out. "It does remind me of home though."

He took a step closer to the fae, unsure if they were a friend or foe. "How are you doing that?" Anden asked. The Fae reminded him of the butterflies that he and Eloise Marie would chase after when they were young.
