AISHA
The wicked cold had set in most everywhere but the citadel now, thanks to Morgan's quest and godly intervention. The warden was gone for the season, Deimos took her place, and there was no major circumstance or damnation on the horizon. Aisha was training in her own art as well as offering lessons, continuing to provide, grow stronger, feel connected. Small troubles invaded her thoughts at times; her lack of communication with friends in the grounds, worries about danger as it may come, and of course a concern for Korbin.

Mostly, Aisha was alright. Well fed, well entertained, well challenged. But she could always grow. She'd been wanting more contact with the old gods, having grown restless with looming wars and discontent, with some other more personal twists and turns. More than any strong emotions, she just wanted to meet them all. She'd interacted with Safrin, and indirectly with Ludo, but Frey was uncharted. The gods of nature and nurture, aid to the citadel's boon. They'd tickled her curiosity on many occasions, she figured it was time to scratch that itch.

And she wouldn't arrive without an idea in mind of what she wanted from them. She pondered over improving her fighting style, incorporating her attuned gifts with her sword-craft. How nice it would be to be able to move moment to moment in a battle and slip between skins, but keep her armament secure. From claws to blade without having to waste time on retrieval. There was only one way she could see to have this done, and so that is what she sought today, coming with the ambitions of a young warrior.

For Frey she brought a meal of ursur meats and dried berries, having portioned her share of the monolith beast that she and Deimos had taken down. She'd done her best preparing it, with a bit of help from fellow soldiers in the barrack halls, and seasoned it sweetly. Intentions set, offering made, the woman sat criss crossed before the shrine, hair pulled back by her golden ribbon, sword on the ground beside her.

"Frey, I was hoping we could have a chat, one or both of you. I have something you might be able to help me with, if you so choose," Aisha grinned, leopard fangs flashing as she shifted the plate with the meal just a bit. It may be deepfrost, but Aisha brought with her the hot anticipation and fiery desire of the long sun seasons.

It isn’t Frey that shows. It isn’t a spirit either. No, it’s some sort of cold wind that manages to break through the Citadel, avoiding the warmth of the fire and leaching the warmth of it all as it appears. It surrounds Aisha in an invisible prism, only for a moment – as if a swift breath as been pulled. And in that time, in through the nose and out through the mouth, suddenly the leopardess will find that she’s cold. So cold, in fact, that the warmth of the fires and anything she tries will not soothe her chill.

Aisha has been CURSED!
She will not be able to get warm the rest of Deepfrost!

AISHA
Aisha waited. And waited. And then there was a feeling. Physical, not emotional. She found that this coldness did not soothe with divine aura, it was simply cool, frigid almost. She breathed in ice, and exhaled an inner warmth that did not reach her nerves. Her furs were suddenly chilled, the fire lit against her tanned skin but did now shower her in warmth.

Fear, but mostly anger. She rose, grabbing the plate of food she'd brought, and stepped away. Fucking hell, the plate against her fingers was like touching frost. And she left the shrine, to seek somewhere safe, somewhere that might bring her peace. As if that was anywhere to be found.

Fin!
