Isla and Edwyn are like Ken and Barbie with their blue eyes, perfect smiles, and absolute lack of anything useful this round. But that's alright, seeing as Nate is apparently just going to fuck the boggart up himself. His arrow strikes the creature's chest soon after his body does, and they both tumble to the ground. Fire and electricity snarl from the weapons, which causes screams to echo from the bastardized Sunjata. Perhaps knowingly (or not, who knows), Nate is forced to endure the heat of his own flames as well the hand holding the flaming dagger burns.
Fresh from the grave as Adam is, he isn't quite strong enough to do more with his daggers than annoy the boggart (a whopping 8 points of damage), but you know, better than nothing. Adam had said there needed to be more fucking doing. He hadn't said more deadly doing, so. Similar comments apply to Kiada (7.5 pts of damage, wompwomp). She'd have done better remaining where she was at the end of the group to keep an eye on what she instinctively knew was likely to come...
From the direction the group was headed, a strange beetle-like monster appears. Its mandibles click with razor-sharp precision as its bionic eyes sway and survey, targeting the ascended. A blast of dark energy snarls toward Isla andEdwyn; though the pair both have modelesque looks, Isla's aren't just for show. She's easily able to dodge the monster's attack. Edwyn though? Edwyn isn't so lucky. He's obliterated before he even has a chance to say rising action.
