Unfortunately, after his rather weak attack on the Boggart, it seemed Adam was destined to have a streak of bad luck. The arrow he shot from his crossbow did not hit it's target, but the monster had far better aim. It was weird, to be hit and know you were hurt without pain, but he fucking knew it, and still hissed anyway as he felt the energy drag away his strength.

"Fuck, fuck-" Deciding for the moment a tactical retreat to recover was best (Nate seemed to have all of this very much handled), Adam jumped behind the group now that the Boggart was dead and activated the Voice's gift, knowing if he didn't heal now he'd not last much longer. Hoping to avoid the monster's gaze, he waited until he was fully restored.
