key quest

Isla might have returned back in a body that wasn't overly strong, but of course that isn't the form she finds herself in. Her talons streak across the metal of the monster's body, making sparks fly and tearing through the muscly-fibres that hold part of its carapace together.

Nate 's arrow strikes through the creature's mouth as his blades scrape in the wake of Isla's claws. Electricity and fire blaze forward, and though this time Nate has his jacket, still fire is a precarious thing for an ascended to play with (we wouldn't want Nate to blow up, now would we?).

Adam flails to the back of the group, using his upgrade and finding himself suddenly back to tip top form.

Kiada perhaps has Nate to think that her attack hits, distracted by the sea-panther necklace as it briefly is. Groaning as the sword snarls through one of its biomechanical legs, the monster does something very odd.

Its wings stretch out and wrap around its body as its head curls and tucks under. Completely blocked from view by its metallic shielding, from within the creature comes a series of clicks and clacks, as something appears to be happening..

Is this where it explodes, taking you all with it? Is it healing itself, meaning you should get your licks in while it can't attack back? God, if only you knew.
