key quest

It's so fascinating to see what you all do, when faced with this sort of dilemma. Do you make the smart decision? Or the one that will likely get you killed? Let me put it to you this way, in terms of characters who did the smart thing, the order goes Isla, Adam (somehow), and then @Nate/@Kiada are tied for last place.

The hard shell which has formed over the creature makes it completely impenetrable, leaving Nate 's arrow to bounce off of it with a small static snap. Adam 's crossbow will find a target, just not the one he intended. Though Kiada is the larger in her moose shape, Nate having tackled the creature makes him an easy target to be shot in the ass by Adam. Luckily there isn't much ooomph behind Adam's arrows, but still.

Neither Nate nor Kiada are able to flip the creature. What they won't be able to see are the spikes its driven deep into the ground to hold it in place, while it completely heals itself.

Healed, the monster's outer shell clunks and clacks as metal panels slide around. Now the harder outer layer has become wings, letting the monstrosity take to the skies. Though Isla is the biggest target, Nate and Kiada are the most annoying, and so it is the two of them who receive the brunt of its focus. Perhaps due to this sudden gain in altitude, both attacks miss, leaving the only actual damage this round via friendly fire. Which, all things considered, isn't too bad.
