New to flying, and newer still to trying to use a limb she didn't possess before, Isla 's manticore tail strikes at nothing but air as she persues the monster. Adam 's attack is similarly unsuccessful, forcing the manticore and her rider to circle around and perhaps try again. Nate and Kiada charge into the air in full pursuit. All in all, it's a fairly terrifying aerial battle all of a sudden.
Putrid gas spills from the monster's wings, and though neitherNate nor Isla are terribly well versed in flight, both evade the putrid air-borne spill to keep both their and their-rider's lungs clear.
