key quest

The doctor learns quickly: Isla 's second attack strikes and poison begins to flood the monster's system. It isn't suspectable to the same deadly elixirs that human-type creatures are of course, and so death is not on the table. Its wing does flicker uncertainly as fluid pours from the wound. Adam throws the glowing sword into the darkness, but it plunges toward the ground, harmlessly falling amidst the snow.

dragon!Nate 's jaws open and electricity peels through the air. How it misses the monster is hard to see through the blue-white glare (bad luck, is the answer), but miss it does. Kiada 's dagger strikes it, falling to the ground, but without more ooomph behind the attack (aka more STR on Kia's part), the blade does very little damage.

Judging Isla to be the biggest threat thus far, the monster rounds on her, opening its jaws to try and capture her receding form in a dark blast of energy. Isla is able to dodge it however, protecting both herself and Adam.
