Jigano had not been feeling well lately. He didn't want to explain why he wasn't getting much rest when he slept though, nor worry his friends. It was easier, sometimes, to spend time in fox form and focus on simple things, like hunting mice and tending his egg.
Mouse hunting had brought him once more to the fields, where he could listen for the scurry of little feet beneath the snow. Listen, crouch, wait, pounce. It was harder than it looked, but helped to hone his aim and his senses, and when he succeeded he received a tasty snack for his trouble. But he needed complete quiet to have even a chance of success, and the silence of the day was broken - not loudly, but enough to throw off his game - by a murmuring of voices from behind a large drifted dune of snow.
Curious, but cautious, the well-camouflaged white fox padded up the low crest and peered over. A most unusual luxere appeared to be attacking a tree while some looked on and another - was that Kalt? And a unicorn? - pestered the poor creature. Jigano flattened his ears, uncertain of what to do. He didn't like seeing the creature's distress, but he wasn't sure he could help as either fox or man. Maybe Caiside could, but... he had no idea if he could find the other man before the deer moved on.
He whine softly, low in his throat, and perked his ears up again to listen to the conversations the cold breeze carried from the gathering of humans - Rexanna, Amalia, Remi, and someone he didn't know - as they watched or sang or murmured to each other at the sad sight.
