The shift in the room was sudden and drastic, yet barely noticeable; just a slight shift that seemed to stem naturally from what was already being felt. Her skin suddenly felt warm but she had absolutely no desire to leave the comfort of the blankets and sheets...which almost seemed refreshingly cool now by comparison to everything else. She sighed and collected her hair in her hands, wishing as she often did in summer months that it wasn't as thick as it was. It was so warm and insulating. So she twisted it a little and draped it over her shoulder in an effort to cool down. That action alone caused one of the sleeves to drape off her shoulder. Usually she would be quick to put it back in place but...it felt wonderful where it was.

When had she gotten so comfortable in front of Emmett? Was he really just this comforting of a presence? For a moment she wondered if she would ever have found herself in this position, holding the affections of someone, if not for Frey telling her to put herself out there? Probably not.

Phoebe's blush deepened as Emmett stopped and turned back to her, glancing down at her lap a bit bashfully. She shifted so she was sitting more on her opposite hip as his hand ran down her side. The blonde was not particularly curvaceous, but the position did emphasize her delicate, feminine frame. She glanced up at him with her face still tilted forward so she watched him through long lashes. Suddenly she realized that she had never fully appreciated how handsome he was. Slighter than some but he was still young, and would only continue to get more handsome with time, already sporting a strong jaw and chiseled muscles...which she was suddenly disappointed in not being able to see with his shirt on. "Talk about what kind of stuff?" she asked almost coyly.
