There were plenty of things that constitute a "trick". Paige was doing her best to explore every option. Why? Well, the girl was bored. Unreasonably bored. With Kamaria getting ready to leave, there wasn't much option for Paige to play with anyone. The only other kids she knew that weren't much older than her were in Stormbreak and her momma already told her that there wouldn't be any trips there by herself no matter how much she begged. So she was left once more to make her own entertainment.
Today that meant trying to trick people into trading with her. This time she was selling palm readings. Did Paige know how to read palms? No, she absolutely didn't. Had she watched the older girls at the Halenani play this game enough that she felt that she could pull it off herself? Yes, she had and that was her goal. The girl sat behind a wooden crate, a small sign tacked to the front of it with a somewhat poorly drawn picture of a hand and the words 'Palm Reading!' scrawled on the front in what she thought was cursive. In reality they were just rather loopy letters that she connected with a few arrant lines.
A small dish sits on the corner, a few little shinnies already tossed inside from others who had fallen for her little trick, but Paige was sure her next victim customer would be along soon.
