DEIMOS
The refusal of the bees surprised him, and he wondered if it was simply because they didn’t want to make this a permanent residence. There were other machinations, multitudes, and motions to consider, to weigh, and while they could instill and root in here, that wasn’t the design. Perhaps he’d overreached on the notions then – and so he shrugged his shoulders, dismissing it as readily as Cordelia had.

His movements were swift and keen, long limbs and strides working their way through the fields, watching as Belial foolishly concocted a whole streamline of motions – occasionally launching, leaping, or striving to snag at the flowers in the Sword’s grasp, before being knocked away with a well-timed blast of air.

By the time they’d arrived back the peryton trumpeted a series of noises to alert Zuriel of their presence (the mare seemed mildly disappointed). She raised her head from her grazing spot, conducted a brief inspection that none of them had been harmed, then went right back to the long grass. Deimos snorted, instilled a silent promise, and then followed after Cordelia’s instructions. He eyed the side of the house, head tilting, pondering, as he unfurled the vines once more, layering them piece by piece. “Is that better for them?”

Cordelia

Admittedly Cordelia was hesitant to put down deeper roots than she already had. While she could see herself and Noah here, the Attuned knew that the Sentinel desired to return back to Halo more than anything, having spoken with him about it recently. While she imagined that Noah would be willing to settle wherever she was happy, Cordelia wanted him to be happy too. His heart was in Halo. It was where he longed to be and she wanted to be there with him. Still, the idea of keeping a home outside of the snowy landscape was appealing. Perhaps it would be something to discuss with him.

Deimos thankfully didn't press and Cordelia was silently grateful. There was still too much to consider and she didn't think she could explain her thoughts on the topic well enough to be clear. There is plenty to distract them in the form of his companion and the flowers. Soon that particular train of thought is gone and her anxiousness that plagued the bond for a span of time with it.

"They typically grow on things. Trees, trellises, walls... Given that we don't really have that to plant them again, putting them by the cabin would be best so it can grow properly." Cordelia explained, shifting towards where she thought would be best, "Maybe about here."

DEIMOS
Deimos had much to learn on the area and expertise of plant life; the notions and need for such contemplation had rarely come up in Helovia, and he’d always had D’art to fall back on in any area of poisons, antidotes, and the like. His farming capabilities were a bit lackluster as well, recalling and remembering Loren’s attempts at opening the fields within the Hollowed Grounds to some semblance of an irrigation system. It hadn’t gone well. Was it even being utilized now – considering the shifts and turns the world had taken? He choked back an inward snort, for it wouldn’t make much sense to Cordelia anyway, and simply corresponded to her request.

In the meantime, he handed the rest of the and flowers to her, while he tended to the honeysuckle. “You can place these where they would be suitable,” leaving it to her, which would probably be best, in figuring out those areas.

The aforementioned blossoms, bulbs, and florets readily corresponded to his requests, as he worked his way from the bottom: settling the roots downward into the soil, then coiling the vines up along the side of the cabin, one by one, inch by inch.

Cordelia

Cordelia left Deimos to tend to the creeping vines, occasionally glancing his way to see how he chose to wind them up the side of her small home before turning her attention to the other flowers. He'd already worked the soil in the area to a soft consistency that she could easily dig into with her hands. Cordelia took great care in spacing out each hole for the flowers, trying her best to arrange them in an aesthetically pleasing pattern while making sure they would get plenty of light should they need it. Once she was satisfied with the positioning, the attuned placed each plant inside its new resting spot and covered the base with soil.

Standing and wiping her hands, the young woman grinned, looking back at Deimos with bright eyes, "I think this looks nice." She was loath to think that they might be leaving it soon. The hunter was finally beginning to think of it as home.

DEIMOS
Meticulous and scrupulous by routine and habit, the Sword left Cordelia to her own labor as the implementation of the vines curled and coiled under his ministrations. They arced and contorted until the vegetation appeared to have an end, the form reaching the peak of the house and rampaging back downward; eventually left to saunter on its own. He could’ve conformed to some design, but uncertain where it would’ve marred the overall construction and implantation of the plant, he permitted the honeysuckle its own due. “Good enough?” He called back over his shoulder, awaiting her judgement while his gaze eventually flickered back to her actions.

She appeared to have found some makeshift pattern with the hues and blends, and he roamed closer, inspecting, nosey as ever. “Suitable,” he offered with an obnoxious grin, studying the remnants of soil, granting one last lift of magic so they all rose towards the sun, before gesturing to the food he’s scrounged up for after. “Come on. I think we have earned ourselves a break.”

Cordelia

They toil away until they manage to sort everything out. The plants are placed and their roots fortified. The honeysuckle snaked along the outside of the building, curling and grasping, flourishing despite being moved somewhere else. Just like she had. Just like she continued to do. Cordelia glanced back at Deimos, a soft smile curling on her lips as she nodded at his words, "Yes... it's good. I think you're right... I'll make us some tea."

Cordelia moved to join him, following him back to the table, going through the motions of making tea for the both of them as they settled for a meal. She glanced back at the flowers, smiling again as her thoughts turned to Noah. She hoped he liked them.
