the lullaby
How do I learn my dreams to mold
To lay them bare in the morning cold?
After leaving Ronin to retrieve Noah, Remi had flown immediately to Halo, all the while imagining Finn hot on his heels despite having absolutely no reason to think the Spyglass had set off yet. Even so, there was a wiry anxiousness that hummed in his bones as he landed by the vast frozen sea, expecting to see a familiar face having already beaten him there.

But so far it appeared he was alone. Did Remi spend a good amount of time holding his breath as a kraken and flailing his giant limbs against the surface of the sea to see if he might shatter his way through? You know he did. Despite this gargantuan pantomime of a temper tantrum, not even a kraken's impressive size was able to crack the thick sheet of ice.

So, having shifted back, the Lullaby waits on the shoreline, covered partially with leonine fur as well as his jacket to keep the brutal Halo chill from reaching his bones.

This is a PQ+ for Ronin and Noah to try and break through the Sea of Glass!

Remi as usual brings nothing but himself to this.
If they're still out there then the chasm grows
For all you know, for all you've known
Code blatently stolen from queen of codes, Sky!
Speaks with a thick Italian accent.
Force and magic can be used against Remi without permission.

there exists a tipping point between gods and monsters
Having mostly missed the kraken tantrum, Ronin arrives with Noah safely esconded on his scaly back, a sweeping black silhouette in the snow laden skies. He can't really tell where his husband is when he shifts back, which makes taking aim at the Sea of Glass without accidentally harming Remi a little bit impossible. So instead he circles and banks overhead, before swooping down that he might land between the nearby snowbanks.

And Ronin doesn't shift back, knowing that the white pulse at his throat will be needed sooner rather than later to try and undertake this task. Shall we try and do this all at the same time? Just make one big go of it? he suggests, hunkering down in case Noah would like to climb off his back.

Ronin also just brings himself! But also Noah, lol.

reaching up to the maze of light in the sky
Noah had never flown before, and before he could block how it turned his stomach over the bond he was sure Ronin felt it. Noah had never ridden on the back of a dragon before. Never thought of it. Not even in the most unfathomable of dreams. Growing up in Halo brought with it the underlying fear of dragons. Noah was not ashamed to say this. He had known dragons to pluck people right off the tundra and take them back to their caves. He had seen it happen. Weaver and Delphine had been taken right before his eyes. To say that he was allied with someone who could turn to a dragon at will and use its might was crazy to him. Even those attuned strong enough to hold onto the soul of a mythical beast he knew in Halo were never dragons. It was something about the beast with fire in its belly that did not mix with the ice of his homeland. He was thankful for the coat that Frey had made for him as they traveled. The air was cold and thin where they flew, and Noah kept himself pressed down against Ronin as much as he could to keep the breath in his lungs easy flowing. But he lifted his head as they approached Halo. The hunter had to blink back tears as the Fangs came into view first, their peaks beautiful and mighty in the distance.

He had never imagined returning home in such a way.

But he knew it was only temporary.

Ronin made his way down to the ground and Noah had to work hard to stay balanced. Finally, as the dragon hunkered his back the Sentinel slid off, taking in a deep breath of the frozen air. Knowing he most likely wouldn't be much help with breaking the ice, or melting it, Noah nodded at Ronin's question anyway. "We shouldn't waste any time. Stories tell of elementals living under this ice. If the basilisk was anything to show for what guards a relic, what is here will be dangerous."

Noah has the magic and shift listed on his profile, as well these items:

- Two daggers, a bundle of 10 arrows (already placed within his quiver), and his bow.

Type: Grey
Sentinel's Coat | A sturdy coat lined with the hide of a frost giant, using ursur claws as toggle buttons. Perfectly fitted for Noah, it provides protection even from the coldest temperatures.

Type: Dark
Fire Quiver | A magical quiver that turns any arrow placed within into a flaming projectile that ignites upon impact. (Made by Deimos)

Type: Grey
The Atticus Amulet | Contains a mythical shift of a Basilisk, which can be used regardless of character race, so long as the character is wearing the amulet.
Mythical ability: Stoneheart | Any caught in the eye of the Basilisk may be turned to stone for 3 turns in combat situations.

Where it might not be easy to see Remi, it's easy to see Ronin. With a belly full of starlight and eyes so blue the alchemist is sure he can see them against the sky (though that might just be his romantic streak colouring his vision), Remi makes his way toward where the Huntsman has landed with Noah in tow.

I think so. Hold it as long as you can. Whatever magic you have that's fire..or celestial, or.. Realizing that Noah, having only just risen to demigod status might still be in that frustratingly weak phase of things, Remi pauses and considers. Whatever is strongest. He adds with a small shrug, wondering if now would finally see the end of his Ronin and I can do anything attitude.

On three. One...two...three.

Celestial light blooms in pulses from Remi's hands, as he shoots starbursts at the ice.

Remi uses:

Magic: Copycat | Remi can mimic the abilities from two fellow demigods (Old Gods only). In order to mimic the ability, Remi must have been damaged by it in a thread previously. Only one ability may be used per thread.
Type: Grey | Rank: Upgraded

Magic: Shooting Stars | The user may summon celestial energy as a projectile. Control is excellent, and multiple projectiles may be created at once. (In quests or other combat situations requiring dice rolling, only 3 stars may be created per post).
Type: Light | Rank: Mastered

It's easy to give into instinct, especially in a blank, frozen landscape like this. Not unlike Hak Etme, Ronin feels the dragon within him rear up, and the one without leaps into the sky once more as Remi and Noah give their confirmations. Alright. I'll go for as long as I can. Try to stay back. As if that much isn't obvious. Still, with a beat of his massive wings, Ronin gains enough height until the Sea of Glass is well within his range, and hopefully Noah and his husband are not.

The glow at his throat is like white hot fury by now, and Ronin unleashes a blast of celestial fire directly at the thick sheet of ice below. He focuses as best he can on the area that Remi is already targeting, but of course as a dragon his finesse is not what it might be as a man.

Ronin uses this in his dragon shift!

Once Remi had joined them they didn't waste any time in moving forward with what needed to happen. Noah appreciated that. He spent his whole life listening to stories about what might be under this frozen fortress, and the anticipation of finding out made the hunter's hands shake. Ronin took to the sky and position, and Noah trotted far enough away he knew he would be out of range. Remi instructed them to use what was most powerful, that they had. Noah knew his magics, so new and recently discovered, would not aid in this endeavor -- at least, not at this moment. Instead, the hunter pulled an arrow from his quiver and loaded it into his bow. He waited for a moment, eyes focused on the ice where Remi targeted and Ronin intended to target. The hairs on the back of his neck rose as the dragon began to release his celestial energy. Noah let loose an arrow, intending for it to strike the ice between one of Remi's blasts and before Ronin's celestial fire met the ice, knowing his flame would be drowned out compared to their might but at least it was what he could contribute.

There's fire, fire, and more fire (Noah's counts, don't be rude). The ice that covers the Sea of Glass begins to fracture and whine beneath the celestial heat from the demigods. Steam rises in angry whirls that refuse to freeze despite the sub-zero temperature of the tundra. The glacial protest from the ice rings out in low, hollow notes that make your bones tremor and the back of your eyes itch.

The ice breaks and snaps apart in jagged jigsaw pieces that furiously try and press themselves back together even as the celestial heat from Remi and Ronin dull and melt their edges. Water that appears black until it sloshes over the surface, surges in unison from beneath, as if eager to be released.

EIRACHI
The Sea of Glass cracks, and it is not with her permission. What clever little godlings have spawned in what feels like little more than a blink of an eye. For that is what time is, for the Eirachi.

But this is about the present. And at present, the jagged shards of ice that explode up into the air seem to hover there, suspended in the fury of Deepfrost. Cracks continue to spiderweb out, this time under the goddess's influence.

Because if you want to crack this sea to unleash what is beneath it, you need to crack it properly, boys.

Wessex, Neron, Kiada and Morgan will find themselves in the midst of Remi, Ronin and Noah, and all around them the world turns snowblind and howling.

A snowstorm unlike any other blots out the rest of the Tundra from view, and the Sea of Glass begins to churn...
