Talyson is not subtle in his flustered glowering, and Evie’s brows rise with the not-so-slick catch of his words. “It was only an encouragement to find a plant instead of an unknown seed.” Her tone is mild, but only just so. Talyson is young, but already she wonders how Deimos has the patience to deal with his pouting. Perhaps he wasn’t like this all the time? As he grabs the cactus with increased enthusiasm, she tries to see the best in him, and smiles genially. “If it’s a desert area that will do perfectly. All gods seem to enjoy gifts anyway.” And it was a better gift than the bare necessity that was water. But Evie can’t resist the little spark of fire in her heart that encourages her to seek avenues of revenge, the sharp-tongued devil that sits in her shoulder crowing for mischief. First she allows the two to debate the merits of bringing the seeds to the greenhouse, fiery crown nodding in agreement. “I think it’s a great idea.” Then she pauses, wiping crumbs off her blouse before affecting a concerned, empathetic look as she leans closer to Tal. “You know, if it bothers you to see him talking to girls…maybe you should tell him how you feel. If you love him, you shouldn’t hesitate and risk having him slip away.” Here she gestures subtly over to Sah and Melita, the two he’d been mooning over upon their arrival. Winking encouragingly, she returns to Deimos’ side, hooking her hand in his arm to pull him away before she loses her poker face. “See you back home Talyson!” she calls over her shoulder cheerily in goodbye, leaving him with that last bit of intentionally misguided advice.
