From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!

ROAR
Through the mist, the Fangs are screaming. And that isn't metaphorical - those within the Citadel walls will hear a horrific grinding and rending of stone, as if the mountains are tearing themselves asunder. Though they cannot see the aftermath - and nor will they for some time - it does not bode well for any creatures that lurk in the deep, dark caverns.
Creatures with claws and wings and teeth. Creatures who have hearts of cold fire and scales like shards of ice.
One cannot blame the white dragons, not really. They erupt from the Fangs in a plume of wings and panicked keening, rushing away from the collapsing mountains and into the mist. It is an unfortunate twist of fate that leads them over and through the Citadel, that is all.
Regardless, dozens of reptiles are soon blindly scraping against rooftops, colliding with buildings and skittering to a hard landing in Halo's streets. And from there, as one might very well imagine, chaos rules inside the city as well as out.

Sah watches the sky in horror as white dragons turn the blue into white. For a heartbeat all he can think of is Aino. But then he sees guards running for the gate and hears what's happening at the entrance of the Citadel. As much as he wants to go help, there's a dragon attempting to claw apart a house and he can't not do something.
"Everyone! To the barracks or council hall! Evacuate!" The Abandoned calls as he races over and tries to distract the nearest dragon away from the fleeing people. Channeling his magic, Sah sends a bolt of lightning at it, hoping to cause as much damage as he can. His mageglass pendant warms against his neck as he calls upon its aid.

Sah has everything on his profile. He orders the citizens to evacuate to the barracks or council hall and shoots lighting (charged with mageglass) at the nearest dragon. He is currently wearing his armor.
Lightning manipulation: Can create and control Lightning. Must be within a 30ft radius.

The pirate has no idea what's happening. She had chosen to stay in Halo for the war when she heard how much preparation the region had done for their defenses. It seemed like a safer place for her crew to stay while their ship was docked in Torchline.
But now there were dragons. Everywhere. Fuck her life. Alex draws her cutlass and glares at the nearest beast. "Come at me, you lizard bitch." It was already dawning on the pirate that she would most certainly die tonight. But like he'll she's going down without a fight.
There wasn't much she could do on her own, so she called upon the spirits around her. "Anyone who can. Please drive or lead any dragons away from Halo that you can! Maybe scare them or make something in the far distance too tempting for them to ignore? Please?"

Alex arrives and draws her cutlass. She has everything in her profile (is wearing her coat) a cutlass and two daggers. She uses her channeling to call for aid in either driving or leading as many dragons away as possible.

Dragons, or crying? Crying, or dragons?
Well, the choice is really made for Hotaru, because the dragons land almost on top of her as she's running through the streets, narrow-eyed and intent on the walls beyond. She grabs the nearest civilian in reach and yanks them backwards away from the disoriented creature moments before disaster, and for a brief second Ru considers their odds of sheltering in place and encouraging the dragons back into the sky peacefully.
That decision is also made for her as Sah and Alex arrive on the scene, guns blazing.
Well, with that out of her hands - time to kill some dragons, eh?
Joining Sah's lightning with her own, two masters of the same element, Hotaru sends her bolt to target the dragon next to his own target in hopes of dealing more widespread damage among the group. "Again!" she barks, wild-haired and eyes alight with electricity, a commander once more. "While they're still disoriented!" She maneuvers closer to Sah instinctively, bracers held aloft, ready to reflect whatever the dragons retaliate with.

Sah raises his hands, summoning the lightning in his blood to stream out and strike the nearest foe, and it... it...
Actually, nothing happens at all. Not a spark. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. How strange.
Hotaru is luckier in that her spell goes off, striking a dragon attempting to disentangle itself from the debris of a house, but the downside, of course, is that now it's annoyed at her. Granted, still disorientated by the fall, its claws whip through the air near her shoulder without making contact - phew!
And then we have Alex, whose call to the surrounding spirits goes immediately answered, though the water sprites who come to her aid are frenzied at best. Still, their twinkling ice-lights do provide an excellent glow, and a few of the nearby dragons are more than happy to follow as they spin and circle a route out of the Citadel. Good job!

Ru spins out of the dragon’s reach, and calls on her lightning a second time, eyes hard and unforgiving. She may have considered trying to get them to fly away, but it’s too late now. Now, they must die, and she doesn’t intend to dawdle in doing so.
Aiming her magic at the already wounded dragon, she snag at her bag of ice spheres and slingshot. Spinning on her feet, grateful she doesn’t have to move much with a long range weapon, she shoots one of the spheres at the other dragon in case Sah needs the assistance. The woman is unfamiliar, and Ru is a cruel and possessive creature; her continued existence does not matter as much to the Valkyrie as Sah’s. Whatever she does or doesn’t do is only a secondary awareness for Hotaru.

Alex grits her teeth, knowing that her one ace in the hole is done. But it's satisfying to know that despite being unable to wield the elements like the stranger, she helped. Seeing even a few dragons follow the lights is enough. "Thank you, sprites." They may have just saved the lives of numerous citizens who otherwise would have been caught in the crossfire.
With that, she turns and decides she's better off teaming up with the others. Getting closer to Sah, she throws a dagger at dragon1, hoping to either harm or distract the beast so that the others can kill it.

Sah focuses on the dragon in front of him but notes the presence of the two women. Knowing that Hotaru has his back is a relief, but it also causes a surge of protectiveness and possessiveness to burst from him. White dragons killed Aino. If one harms Hotaru? He might just tear them apart with his bare hands if given the chance. It's a serious relief to also see both of his companions run off.
Having his magic fail on him is jarring but he shakes it off quickly due to the severity of the situation. As the stranger comes up beside him, he's hardly aware of it. Sah is simply too focused on reaching deeply for his magic. Calling his lightning he once more attempts to send it at dragon 1, his pendent continuing to radiate a soothing warmth.

Naughty naughty, Hotaru. Only one attack for you per round. Here we go again with the lightning, though, striking through the mist at Dragon 1! It... hits...? It... sprays a beautiful, sparkling array of fireworks, rather than lightning? The fireworks appear to be shaped like penises.
TIME FOR A WEDDING.
Alex, pirate though she might be, seems to be a dab hand at fighting on land. Her dagger lances out, jabbing directly into the scaly haunches of Dragon 1, causing it to screech and reorient itself towards her and Sah.
Speaking of Sah, he turns again to crackle out a bolt of lightning! And still nothing happens. Well... not exactly nothing. This time he appears to have summoned a small octopus, which coils its slimy tentacles around his hands. It seems just as confused as he undoubtedly is.
Meanwhile, Dragon 1 opens its jaws wide, and... and oh, shit. Ice lances from its throat, blasting straight through Alex and leaving her a sorry, frozen form on the already snowy ground. This will be the pirate's last adventure, regrettably.
Dragon 2, however, is still a bit angry at Hotaru. It swipes out with its claws, but she's lucky enough to get out of the way.

Her magic hits, and turns into...penis fireworks? Now, Hotaru would know those anywhere, and their creator, but why here? Why now? "Frey, darling? Is that you?" she calls out, bewildered. Only to curse as the world continues on inexorably without her anyway, killing the unknown woman in a blast of ice. But there's no time to mourn someone she never knew, she has to prevent further deaths.
"Sah, save your magic for right now, clearly there's something going on!" she yells, and lifts an orb from her bag to slot into her slingshot, aiming it at the most wounded dragon with a grim, focused face. It may have the ability to spit ice, but hopefully it would not be utterly immune to the element externally. She aims for the base of its throat, not trusting the serpentine head to remain still enough to hit but wanting to target a softer area.

Hotaru tells Sah to abstain from magic for a round since it seems not to be working, and shoots an ice ball at Dragon 2 - aiming for the base of the throat/shoulders for a more sensitive area that doesn't move as fast.

Alex has about half a second to realize she's about to die. "Well shit." She states, her last act flipping off the dragon. Her frozen form remains as such, a testament for her eternal annoyance at such a death. And she had such a nice coat too. No recovering that from a popsicle.
But she had a fun run. A rough one filled with strife but shenanigans. Alex dies without regrets and as the world goes black, she can only wonder just what awaits her on the other side. If the booze is subpar, she might climb her way down to hell, if such a place exists.

Sah vaguely notices the stranger die but he's too confused to care at the moment. In a split second, he gently places his new octopus in his pocket, so it hopefully doesn't freeze. Though he has no idea if it can even breathe air for so long.
"Good idea!" He calls over to Hotaru and draws his sword. With a surge forward, he attempts to stab dragon 1 with his sword. Though he keeps his magic inactive, using only physical means to try and harm the beast. Clearly something is amiss if his magic is failing him. Though he wasn't sure why Hotaru was practicing a trick for Cordelia and Noah's wedding at the moment. Must be whatever is affecting his magic.

Alex falls (or rather, stays exactly where she is, because frozen), but the dragons are not intending to let things go from here. No, they've come blundering into this town they don't even like, and people are attacking them and setting off fireworks and putting octopi in their pockets and... and it's all rather silly, alright?
The first dragon swipes at Sah, but perhaps the newly installed statue of a pirate makes it difficult to position itself, for it misses. The second, though, is a bit more savvy, and for the first time, it manages to snap its jaws around Hotaru's right leg.
The victory is shortlived, however, because that's right as the Valkyrie smacks it with a dense, icy sphere. Shrieking its annoyance, it detaches its jaws and slinks back again.
Similarly, Sah is successful in skewering his foe through its scaly hide. Flapping a wild and misty gale towards the Wild Thunder, it clumsily waddles back a few feet.

It hurts like hell, but it's a temporary thing, and Hotaru grits her teeth and continues on. This time things are clearly working, but it's a little too slow. There is still a fight at the gates, she can hear it, and while she is far from gravely injured neither of them can escape injury forever. So Ru runs for Sah, trying to get their two dragons closer together, bracers up and ready to reflect any icy blasts.
"Use your sword on that one, I'm going to try my magic again!" That way if she fails once more, Sah will still be able to land a blow. Focusing her lightning once more, she aims to strike it down over Dragon 2, though she hopes the closeness of the other dragon will either spook it off or harm it as well.

Hotaru runs over towards Sah to try and group the dragons together, and tells him to use his sword on Dragon 1 (so he's not caught in the blast). This time, she uses her regional feat to try and bypass the mist, and focuses her mastered lightning magic on Dragon 2. If it doesn't work again, she has her bracers lifted for any attacks.
Halo has hardened you against her weather and her terrain. Once per PQ/PQ+/KQ/Drop, you can ignore an environmental effect that would otherwise hinder you (rough terrain, cold, wind, etc).
