With wars end had come multitude of thoughts; one of which had always been the notions of how to better herself, and assist others. And while she’d strived before the battles and skirmishes, the Caretaker had always been a determined sort – meeting the cat here had been soothing, assuaging, and mending in the right moment – but she still needed to talk to Frey.

Maybe luck would hold today. Maybe it wouldn’t. But Lena kept her steadfast faith tucked in the wake of her heart and mind, walking down the familiar Celestine paths until they led her to the shrine. Kneeling at the beautiful and wondrous fixtures, she snagged at the fruits, creams, and plates laden to her favored herald, before bowing her head, trying again in her earnest nature, voice clear and poignant. “Frey, I was hoping you would have the time to speak to me. I would still like to find a way to heal others.” Because they’d been largely dependent on the unicorns during the series of chaotic semblances, and that wasn’t fair to the animals or people.

Frey

Heralds do not get tired, so if that is how Frey looks when they appear, it is entirely by design. Leafchange only lends itself to the look, honestly; they sit cross-legged among the spray of falling leaves, golden skinned and glorious in the bounty of the season, but nonetheless subdued.

"Such a skill would have been useful a year ago, no?" They raise their eyebrows, but nontheless dip their head in a nod.

"You have been patient and true, sweetpea. What kind of item suits your fancy? A wand? An amulet? A hammer?" A hammer of healing. Stranger things have happened.

The appearance of her favored herald lent the beam of a smile on her features – at once effervescent and ebullient. Even at the brief admonishment, to which the youth blushed. She had tried, but perhaps not enough – too busy with other things, and perhaps ignorant of how much they’d require those ends by the end of the day.

“Thank you,” she exclaimed instead, unfurling a breath. The Caretaker had thought for a long while about those particulars – for she was no weapons master, nor frequent user of such items – a different person might’ve found a hammer an effective means. “Would a staff be feasible?”

Frey

A staff is certainly more than feasible, and Frey nods their head yes. "One of the more favoured items among healers," they remark. "Useful in many ways, not just because of the healing power imbued into them. I think that's a fine idea." Furrowing their brow, they turn their attention to the falling leaves for a moment, as if the answers lay there.

"Alright - a healing staff it is. But I will need some items to begin..."

1. Complete a thread collecting a branch from one of the trees in the Greatwood.
2. Complete a thread having the branch crafted into a staff.
3. Complete a thread collecting Efas Herb from the Labyrinth in the Hollowed Grounds.
4. Complete a thread observing someone healing another, whether through magic or first aid.

She beamed in return, eager and content to please. “Thank you,” for so many things, but Lena hoped the notion was encompassed in the framework of all. Listening to the components, and the impending travels, the Caretaker made a mental list of branches in the Greatwood, of crafting proportions, herbs in the Labyrinth, and healing components. Perhaps the latter was her favored portion – eager to learn all aspects of the mending process – and so she nodded once more. “I’ll do my best! Thank you again!” And in a rush of breath, she bid her favored deity a fond farewell, hastening off in search for her first item.
