From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!

Phoebe found herself at the Estuary for very practical reasons, despite the beautiful vistas. The area was teeming with life, in particular water life, and thus made it the perfect spot to fish. She might have loftier goals for herself in the Greatwood, but she still needed to provide for herself and her son. Thus the fishing expedition.
She set herself up on a sturdy part of the shore, a large basket in one hand and a fishing rod and net in the other. As she settled down she produced some fresh bait for her line, wriggling worms still coated in dirt. If only her brother could see her now, wrangling worms without so much as a peep. Carefully she stuck one onto the hook of her line, then cast it out into the waters of the Estuary, waiting for a bite.
Black paws of the Maned Wolf sloshed through a wet patch of mud near the riverbank. The grass a few feet away was a lush green. She wanted to hunt fish as in her shifted form, the Maned wolf. Plus, she just fancied herself some fish on this particular day. Cook it over the fire.
She wanted to catch fish like a bear (despite being a Maned Wolf) and catch fish in her mouth. Well, she'll give it a try at least. If not, she'll just go hunt another rabbit, or buy some of those lovely berries at the market. Though, she'd have to pay for those.
Phoebe had to do a double take as she glanced over her shoulder. Was that a wolf?! If there was one, where were the rest of them? Thankfully she was already on her feet or else she would be scrambling up. But this wolf seemed oddly calm, not paying her any mind at all despite being easy (by appearance) prey. Perhaps this was a shifter and not a wolf at all? It was worth checking out.
"Hello there!" Phoebe called out to the wolf like a total lunatic asking for trouble. But if her hunch was right then she was really in no danger at all. No need to get worked up over something that might not be true after all.
Lilitu was in a very good mood today. She wanted fish. She wanted to try and catch it like a bear...
She lazily turned her head to the woman who greeted her. The woman had a fishing rod, her ears perked up and her tail wagged. Turning her body around towards her, the Maned Wolf began trotting up to her. Her lanky legs carried her over to the place where the woman was.
Wait— fuck. She should probably shift back to human. She's a wolf-fox hybrid thing... at least that's what she decided she was because she looked like it. It wasn't better than the actual name of the creature she can become. But, why is the Maned Wolf called a wolf but resemble a fox more... when it's neither a fox nor a wolf?
Anyways, she shifted back into her human form to greet the woman before she lost herself in her thoughts again.
If you ended up a little too close to the water, you’ll see some encantados in the distance – who, of course, are curious little things, and simply can’t help themselves! And so they dash over, eager to make your acquaintance –
And splash you, full force.

You’ve encountered an Encantado. This counts as an uncommon creature encounter for the purposes of levelling, but does not count as a Random Event for levelling or MP. There will be no further admin/re intervention. If you choose to follow this creature, you do so at your own risk, however, just having it in this thread is enough to satisfy your levelling requirements.
Encantados (uncommon): A bright pink species of dolphin that are as mischevious as they are helpful. With water magic and the ability to both create and soothe storms, these blush-coloured creatures can help or hinder on a whim.
For a moment Phoebe thought her instinct had been off as the wolf remained a wolf. Now it knew she was there and a brief moment of fear rushed through her chest. Great. Way to go Phoebe.
But then to much relief the wolf became a woman, and Phoebe sighed. Thank goodness, she had been right after all. "Come out here to fish?" she asked. But then something caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. The demigoddess glanced over and saw encantados of all things! What a lucky surprise! "Oh look!" she said brightly...
Just as a wave of water sprayed out and soaked them both. She blinked in surprise, frozen in place for a second. But then she began to laugh. What a surprise indeed!
