Kaiden spotted Darkeye starting on the human furniture and with a scowl turned to begin those for the mer. They still didn't like the man and in a petty way they wanted to outdo him. hauling over driftwood and stone they began to try and craft the tables. They first tried to build tables made completely of stone to make a strong base.

But they looked too uniform, almost prison-like. Nibling on their lip. Kaiden then took the driftwood and tried to weave it around the legs of the tables in a decorative manner. Just something to make it seem cozier and less militaristic.

Hadama went to help the humans make the walls that could be rolled up in nice weather, and secured to the floor to protect the inside of the cafe in times of rain or wind. He had helped Phoebe to make her bridge over the Stone Symphony and in many ways this project was similar, only on a much smaller scale. He patiently and deftly wove the resined ropes through the light slats of wood among a circle of other crafters who had gathered by him at the edge of the water, and watched as the humans then climbed up on ladders to affix the moveable walls to the roof.

Meanwhile Darkeye's hard work made the dry half of the cafe look cozy and comfortable. Kaiden's design choices with the driftwood added the perfect touch of whimsy to the tables on the Mer side. As the last wall was hung and rolled up, Hadama looked around in quiet pride and immense satisfaction at what humans and Merfolk had worked together to accomplish.

"It is very well done," he complimented everyone who had helped. "Thank you all. If I can return the favor for you someday, I will do so." He inclined his head to Kaiden and Darkeye in particular. Then his emerald eyes gleamed with good humor. "I have sent for supplies and ingredients. Return in one hour for the Tidepool Bar's first event. A party for all those who helped build it."

And there was food and drink and merriment long into the night.
