Jack is already there, but not really, not yet, if the cadence of his voice has anything to do with it. Still on the boardwalk and in deep conversation with a few sailors, he has noticed Flora - multiple times if he's honest, wink wink - but there's a few things to be said and done before he can join her.
And when he finally does, it's with a cigarette between his lips while he's slipping a note into his back pocket. "So let me get this right," he drawls without a word of hello, stepping to the edge of the dock to look into the water. "They wanna make an entrance an' exit for some tunnel down to the Mer... and there are no Mer here to tell us where to go."
Chuckling humourlessly and taking the cigarette from his lips so he can suck in a breath through his teeth, Jack shakes his head. "I ain't ever been to the Underwater City. You?"
