Evie
Did you ever love her? Do you know?
It is a fierce battle, if thankfully free of any major injuries on their side. Hectic to say the least. With her wall now tall and sturdy, Evie takes a knee with her shield before her to brace as one of the elementals is killed and immediately weaponized by its kin. The ice that spiderwebs out across the snow is problematic however.

Ronin's call has Evie ducking behind her shield and closing her eyes - meanwhile using earth and telekinetic powers to seek out further earth from below and call up pebbles and smaller sediment to try and have it crest and crack through the ice. Whether by causing fissures for their boots to grip into or stone and soil to stand upon, hopefully it would allow her allies a better footing on which to advance.

Evie closes her eyes and takes a knee behind her shield when Ronin calls his warning. Meanwhile, she uses her telekinesis and earth magic to pull small pebbles and sediment up through the ice to crack it and provide more grip for anyone advancing forward on foot.

Noah's stag raged and hit its target which then became a mirror, using its own rage to pursue assault. Chaos reigned all around as the hunters and elementals warred against each other. Noah gritted his teeth as his stag dissipated into the elemental-controlled storm, and drew his spear from its holding place between his back and his quiver. At the same time, the attack hit him.

He growled again, this time in anger and pain, and the bright pulsing of his passive magic seemed to brighten even more. As Ronin called for them to close their eyes, Noah let himself drop to a knee (Evie, too, found this appropriate) and aimed his spear at Slightly Smarter Stag and let the sunlight blast from its tip just as Ronin's nova did.

DEIMOS
Ronin’s call was enough to sound the next round of alarms, and while his allies were quick, sharp, and effective in covering their eyes, the water elementals didn’t hold the same grace, poise, or measures. The blast was a ricocheting volley of light and sound, radiant for comrades, and belligerent for enemies. Their opponents felt the pain in blistering, wild, and vicious torment, seething upon the boundaries of their stony fixtures.

And from there, the hunters and creatures remained in seemingly unending juxtapositions. Evie’s plan was sharp and tactful, but the pebbles and earth didn’t pull together well; leaving most to settle into the frozen area just below the surface.

Even Noah’s defiant rage against the Cohort and its stag formations didn’t clear all the way, leaving the spear to settle back into the snow as the look-a-like launched higher into the air.

If deer could cackle maliciously, it might’ve done exactly that. The Cohort settled for a smug look instead. It wouldn't last long.

Gritting and clenching his teeth, the Sword unfurled his own life draining incantations, permitting them to seep and slither forth in intangible lines and threads, intending to snag at the Cohort as well, intending to end the beast. So the buck didn’t stand for long, faltering, flickering, and then descending into a mass of unliving liquid amidst the glaze of ice.

The Genius shrieked; echoes of banshees, of demons, of dragons. Maybe it knew an end was near, but had yet to realize whose.

Reaching for the Cohort’s remains, much as it had done to Blob Bob, the Genius formed a thick shield before it – so even though it was boxed in the rocks and stones, there were layers and multitudes to pulse and beleaguer through.

Along with a few more raging ice shards, one of which pierced Deimos’ left calf with a sharp and bleeding pain.

--

Combined efforts from the Monster Hunters have done the following:
- Ronin’s Supernova has struck both Cohort and Genius, dealing out massive damage simultaneously.
- Evie’s magic hasn’t rooted the way she would’ve liked, leaving rocks and pebbles below the ice.
- Noah’s spear has missed its target, and ended up landing along the snow.
- Deimos’ Mastered Life Drain has hit the Cohort, successfully killing it.

On the elementals’ side:
- Genius has used Blob Bob and Cohort’s remains to form a shield in front of it.
- Genius has landed a blow upon Deimos using an ice shard.

What will you do next? No post order!

There was an unmistakable hiss as Noah's spear's sunlight blasted at something frozen. Unfortunately, it wasn't his intended target. He should have fired earlier, before needing to close his eyes from Ronin's supernova. Alas, there was nothing that could be done to remedy missed hits except for hitting again.

The hunter grunted and, with renewed vigor in him thanks to Ronin, Noah surged forward. He simultaneously blasted the shield of ice with his spear's sunlit flame, and let his Divine Opposition cover his comrades and his enemy (and his enemy's shields) in a dome of celestial light. While it would be healing his friends would receive, it was damage he hoped to inflict upon the elemental.

No one messed with the citizens of Halo, not even their own land and its creations. Those gathered here would see to that.

we live in a world someone else imagined
The fading light of his supernova gives Ronin a view of flung spears and falling Cohorts and the amalgamation of a shield out of the remains of elementals; he can't fault the Genius for its creativity, but that doesn't mean he wants to see it still standing. Regrouping in time for Noah to set off his Divine Opposition, he hazards a wolfish smile towards his fellow demigod, offering a brief nod before he's off into the fray.

More shooting stars ignite around him, the Huntsman making a beeline for the genius, but when he releases the projectiles, he's aiming mainly for the thick wall of ice used to protect it. If he can blast through it, perhaps he can turn some of those icy shards back on it (not to mention some of the residual celestial energy).

Ronin runs forward, summoning shooting stars and aiming for the thick ice shield. He hopes to blast straight through it and to the elemental behind!

Magic: Shooting Stars | The user may summon celestial energy as a projectile. Control is excellent, and multiple projectiles may be created at once. (In quests or other combat situations requiring dice rolling, only 3 stars may be created per post). Range: 60ft
Type: Light | Rank: Mastered

Magic: FEAT | Now You! | When Ronin successfully hits a target, the next ally who posts gains advantage on their attack.

Evie
Did you ever love her? Do you know?
The end seems close, and every fighter is giving it their all - or as close to it as they can without harming their fellows. With only one elemental blob remaining and still cornered by her wall, Evie keeps her position in the snow just behind the others, keeping out of the way so they can focus on their close quarters melee. In the meantime, she reaches for the wall she'd constructed behind the elemental and without a second thought shatters it inward and towards the ground in a hail-fire of stone shrapnel.

Between the four of them, hopefully at least one successful blow will land, if not all of them. Regardless the wall would need to come down by the end of the battle; this way, she can weaponize it from afar without bumping shoulders with all the others.

Evie turns her wall into stone shrapnel, aiming it in a downward strike at the blob so any debris will hit the ground instead of the others.

DEIMOS
The end did loom, as much as the Genius yearned and strived to protect itself, to combat forces of nature with its own mastery. But the end results would ring true, an eventuality that likely each hunter knew well – for the elemental was greatly outmatched, and perhaps, always had been. It would come down to accuracy, time, and a little bit of luck.

The Genius snarled from behind its shield, tucked along the wall, maybe intending to bide hours away. It didn’t expect the walls around it to come tumbling down as shrapnel, for a spear to come crashing into its wake, for shooting stars to blast along smithereens, or for a multitude of its own icy incantations to propel straight into its entity.

Alas, its entire world shook as the humans did just that; Evie’s unrelenting force, Noah’s divine opposition, Ronin’s pummeling of atoms and molecules, and Deimos’ shifting of enchantments obliterated and pulverized.

Until finally, the rocks fell, and so too did the creature. First in cascades, then droplets, until it seeped into the earth, and the Sword gave one last glare, ensuring the rest evaporated with the mastery of his enchantments.

Taking a massive breath as the world around them altered back into normalcy; gentle puffs of snow, Deimos turned to the rest of his brethren with a slightly feral grin. “Well done.” Only a few minor injuries between the lot of them, no loss of confidence, and success kindled for hunters who craved to use this path once more. “Everyone all right?” Before they left they could check over one another, and he didn’t hesitate from patting each of them on the shoulder, or purposefully bothering Ronin. “Hope you enjoyed yourself.”

--

Between the lot of their attacks, the Genius is very dead. Congratulations! The hunters have successfully passed the mission and the path can be utilized again!

Feel free to post a wrap up with your character (or not) and I’ll close this up in a couple days! Thank you everyone!
