It hadn't felt right to call on the Goddess for personal reasons while Torchline's quest remained unfinished, but now Hadama came to the Underwater Shrine alone and bearing a crown of flowering sea plants in full bloom that he had woven with his own hands. The small white blossoms peeked through the dark green foliage of the grasses like small stars, and it had been woven sturdily enough to survive the currents of his travels to the Shrine beneath the waves.

A touch of Water magic cleared the altar, lifting a pugnacious crab that had claimed it and gently setting the little creature aside near a sheltering coral. Hadama placed his offering of the season atop the waiting surface and laid the pelt of the owlbear they had slain in Deepfrost at the altar's feet where the currents teased the feathers and lifted them in a snowy cloud.

Placing his ringed hand to his heart he bowed his head and sought the stillness within his own mind before he made his prayer.

Safrin, thank you for your blessing on the Bubblepath and on Torchline. I ask now for myself: a blessing on this armor, and a way to craft it.

Type: Light | Style: Defensive | Level: Basic
Owlbear Down | Dense hide layered with thick feathers. Good for armour. Can only be crafted with by a god.

Given that it's just before the change of seasons, one might imagine Safrin sitting up in the heavens, peering down into some cosmic mirror, hair in curlers, and clusters of moisturizer on her cheeks. We might also imagine slippers with the heads of some fuzzy animal or other on them, and her body wrapped in a silken robe, as she runs herself a hot bath.

Is that why your prayer has gone unanswered, or is it just bad luck?

Hadama waited patiently as the stars above the waters traveled in their nightly dance, but when it became apparent that his prayer would go unanswered he picked up his pelt and bowed respectfully to the altar. The doings of the goddess were beyond his understanding, but he trusted that they were more important than his selfish request.

There would be other nights, and other prayers. His faith was strong and he took the silence with his usual phlegmatic acceptance. The Tidebreaker turned and spread his wide manta wings, swimming without hurry back towards the Underwater City. The trip gave him time to think, and to plan his next offering. Perhaps something in crystal...?
