From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!

While the shrine on the Tundra is her favorite, the glare of the sun on the snow at the start of Longheat is at times an annoyance she can't contend with the way Deimos can by half-shifting his eyes. Instead the two plan on calling upon Frey at the shrine in the Citadel, and in honor of the season Evie had brought dried and preserved flowers and aromatic herbs in a small bouquet wrapped with golden twine that she had collected and grown during Flowerbirth. More ornamental than anything, but hopefully appreciated.
Kneeling comfortably, Evie sets the bouquet on the lip of the shrine and tucks her hands into her lap, bowing her head just slightly - and sending a wink and a smile towards Deimos at her side - before closing her eyes. "Frey, we hope you will come and hear us today. Your springs have brought so much happiness and appreciation for our land, and we want to make them even better with restorative waters." For the weary travelers, the curious tourists, the haggard hunters. A place to soak and experience more than the bubbles and steam.

It seemed almost like a custom now to find another season in which to offer their blessings, renewals, and hopes upon the nature aspect of Frey – but from the growth and vitality of Halo, so did their requests persist and continue. Following after Evie, the Sword placed crafted wreaths, flowers pressed and preserved from the prior intervals, and some fruit (with cream tucked amidst its bounty) from the greenhouse, touches and pieces of what the deity had already given the summits and mountains, tundras and valleys.
Kneeling beside his fellow Warden, he muffled a snort in her direction, before listening to the wise words bestowed, knowing and understanding his gruff, terse forms were never quite enough. But he still tried, bowing his own head, continuing with the gratitude and imploring of the Citadel’s next steps of action. “Thank you for everything you have given us.” The rumble remained its quiet, dignified contribution to the cause. “Is there a way to achieve this?” Spreading more than just soothing efforts through the Fangs’ mighty springs?
Much like a wizard, Frey is never late, nor are they early - they arrive precisely when they mean to. (AKA apologies and thank you for your patience!)
Blooming in the shrine much like the bouquet that Evie has brought as an offering, Frey all but beams down at the duo before them.
"Never did I think that nature would take such a hold again in Halo. What goes around comes around, as they say, no?" they murmur, spreading their hands to invite both Wardens to stand. "So you'd like to turn your hotsprings into your very own slice of Frey's breath, mm? Very well, sweetpeas. Lean in close, this is how you will need to go about it..."
Tasks. There is no time limit. There are currently 12 active Halovians. This means 6 unique characters have to participate. Characters can participate more than once. Deimos and Evie must participate in at least 2 threads each. Noah must participate in at least 1 thread.
1. A PQ of 4 (or more) Halovians going to Hak Etme to gather the bones of dead animals, King's End to collect morning dew from flowers and the Oerwoud to collect blushberries. The thread will be split each time they enter into a new land.
2. A thread of 3 Halovians visiting the Labyrinth in the Hollowed Grounds and bringing back a significant amount of Efas Herb with them.
3. THREE threads of those with healing magic, or other light-based magic purifying the hotsprings and the surrounding area.
* 50% of those with Halo as their citizenship must participate in at least 1 thread, contributing at least 3 posts. All members of government must participate. Leaders must participate twice.

Frey’s smile is radiant, and Evie blossoms beneath their presence like an arching sunflower following the sun. These visits still feel so rare and gravitational that she has yet to lose the wonder in her eyes or desire to please that makes her perk up and commit every command to memory.
It’s true that Halo has become more verdant and varied in the last few years, and Evie would have it no other way. Perhaps she will even ask after the Eirachi’s hold and how healthy it is when they return, or on her own - hopeful enough now to consider doing so with any manner of success. She and Deimos lean in obediently, and Evie scarcely remembers to blink until the moment Frey goes to depart. “We will do you proud Frey,” she vows, and is left alone with her partner in all at her side, beaming and filled with hope.
