[Training] To zap a mouse

Eternum was totally hanging out in this dark and creepy alleyway, okay? And there was this little mouse, all scurrying and squeaky. Eternum, all badass with his electricity magic, thought he should try to zap that mouse. So, he pulled up his sleeves, focused his mind, and his hand started doing the tingly-zap thing. But instead of like, a real lightning zap, it was more like a little glittery sparkle. No kaboom, no zapped mouse. Eternum was like, seriously bummed out, but he wasn't gonna give up, not on his watch. That little mouse was in for a surprise, just wait and see.

Walking through the narrow alley, Sola noticed Eternum in the faint light, his eyes fixed on a tiny creature skittering about. She waved a greeting, his presence easing the slight unease the dimly lit surroundings had stirred within her.

"Hey, Eternum," she called out, her voice echoing slightly against the bare walls.

Catching sight of his electrifying spectacle and the small creature that was the focus of his attention, she raised an eyebrow in amusement. What could he possibly be up to?

"Eyeing that mouse, huh?" Sola asked, leaning against the rough brick wall as she crossed her arms. "What's the plan? A bit of target practice?" A teasing smile graced her lips as she watched his failed attempt to conjure something more than sparkles. If nothing else, it promised to be an entertaining show.

Catching Sola's greeting, Eternum turned to acknowledge her with a wave, grinning despite his earlier frustrations. His efforts might have been proving fruitless so far, but her arrival lifted his spirits.

"Hey Sola. Yeah, something like that."

Eternum started scratching the back of his head sheepishly. His gaze flicked back to the mouse which was still scampering around cluelessly.

"Thought it could help me practice, y'know? Get a better handle on this electric magic thing."

Her teasing smile was infectious, causing him to chuckle.

"But looks like this little guy's luckier than I thought."

Eternum sent another spark at the mouse, missing again then he shrugged. Despite the lack of progress, he was glad for Sola's company. In the darkness of the alley, her presence brought a touch of light-heartedness to his otherwise fruitless endeavor.

As Eternum was making his playful remarks, Sola's eyes never left the little mouse scurrying around. She felt a spark of mischief light up within her. She pointed her fingers at a small pebble nearby, concentrating hard. Eternum was too busy talking to notice her concentration. With a flick of her wrist, she commanded the pebble to fly towards the mouse. To her surprise, her aim was spot on, the pebble just brushing the mouse's tail.

"Oh! Did you see that? I actually did it!" she exclaimed, unable to hide the triumph in her voice. She gave Eternum a teasing look, "Seems like our little friend here is luckier than you thought indeed!" She added with a hearty chuckle.

Eternum couldn’t help but burst into laughter as he watched the mouse zip up the wall, escaping the next electric zap he shot at it. He felt like his hair was standing on end, but he didn’t miss Sola's triumphant cheer.

"You did well, Sola!"

He called out, grinning from ear to ear. His eyes followed the path of the mouse that was now out of his reach.

"Looks like our friend has some acrobatic tricks up his sleeve, huh? Well, guess it’s my turn to learn something from it!"

He rubbed his hands together, excitement clear in his voice, as he took another look at the high wall, pondering his next move.

Sola glanced at Eternum, sharing a playful smirk. "Let me show you how it's done," she declared, pointing a finger towards the mouse. She focused her magic, attempting to control the little creature's movements. It was harder than she thought, the tiny, fast-moving creature proving to be a tricky target. She managed to slide it a bit, but its quick, erratic movements broke her focus, her magic fizzling out.

Huffing, she lowered her hand, shaking her head in mild frustration. "Well, that's more challenging than it looks," she admitted with a soft laugh, rubbing the back of her neck. "Looks like our little friend here wins this round." She chuckled, enjoying the magic practice despite the challenges.

Eternum shot electricity at the mouse one last time. His eyes widened in surprise as his magic finally found its mark. The mouse halted in its tracks, visibly stunned.

"Well, would you look at that?"

Amazement was clear in his voice. He quickly scooped the tiny creature up, holding it up triumphantly.

"Got you!"

The mouse seemed unharmed, just a little disoriented. Eternum's fingers were gentle as he held it, and after a moment, he released it.

The mouse scampered away, disappearing into the shadows of the alley. Eternum turned back to Sola, the excitement still visible on his face.

"I actually did it!" You see that?"

Sola couldn't help but laugh at Eternum's excitement. His enthusiasm was infectious and her eyes sparkled with amusement at his reaction.

"You got it, alright!" She called out, her voice filled with good-natured humor.

She made her way over to him, playful determination etched on her features. Suddenly, she lunged forward, her attempt to tackle him to the ground making her intentions clear.

"Alright, your turn. Let's see if you can beat me!" She challenged, her eyes twinkling with the thrill of the unexpected play-fight. She was quick and agile, her body poised and ready for whatever he might throw her way.

Eternum watched Sola with amusement as she lunged towards him, a spark of competitiveness flickering in his eyes. He didn't get a chance to brace himself properly, and the force of her playful attack was enough to send him stumbling backwards.

With a laugh, he attempted to regain control of the situation, reaching out to grab hold of her wrists. His aim was to switch their positions, using her momentum against her to spin her around and pin her in return.

"Watch out!"

There was a grin on his face as he tried to respond to her challenge. Whether his attempt would be successful or not, he was certainly enjoying their lighthearted banter and the playful struggle that ensued.

Feeling Eternum pin her against the ground took her by surprise. There was a brief moment of shock before her competitive nature kicked in, and she started to squirm, trying to free herself.

"OOF!" She huffed, a grin pulling at the corners of her mouth despite the slight flush on her cheeks. Even though she was trying to escape, the close proximity to Eternum made her excited. It was a strange, exhilarating mix of fear, excitement, and a whole lot of butterflies. In the quiet moments that followed, as she stopped struggling and looked up into Eternum's eyes, she felt a warmth spread through her. The playful fight had turned into something else - something softer and perhaps more intimate - and in that moment, she wouldn't have had it any other way.

Feeling Sola's struggles slow and finally stop, Eternum found himself caught in her gaze. Her eyes had an almost vulnerable look. It made his heart skip a beat, his heart hammering in his chest at the unexpected intensity of the moment.

Swallowing thickly, he slowly released his hold on her, his hands sliding along her arms in a gentle caress.

"Well, that was unexpected. But we aren’t done yet!”

He took a moment to simply look at her, his heart pounding with the quiet intensity of their shared gaze. Then, with an aggressive push and twist, he attempted to flip her onto her stomach.

Caught off guard by the sudden flip, Sola found herself flat on her back, pinned under Eternum. She squirmed beneath him, her instincts telling her to fight back. She kicked out at him, her legs moving with an urgency she didn't feel earlier. She didn't want to be defeated, not when they were just starting to have fun. A laugh escaped her lips, despite her situation.

"Alright, alright. You got me. But I won't go down without a fight!" Her eyes sparkled with determination and amusement, a playful challenge directed at him. The struggle may have been low stakes, but Sola was determined to make it a fair fight.

With a sudden movement, Sola kicked out at him. Eternum twisted his body instinctively, taking the brunt of the impact on his shoulder. His hand slipped from Sola's grasp and he ended up on his back once more, groaning in mock defeat.

Despite the playful nature of their match, he could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins. He wasn't just playing around , he was enjoying this more than he thought he would.

Just as Sola was about to get up, Eternum spotted his opportunity. Ignoring the protest of his aching muscles, he quickly pushed himself up and tried to jump on top of her.

Sola was quick on her feet. As soon as she felt the pressure of Eternum's grip lessen, she seized the opportunity to escape a beating. She kicked her leg out with a force that aimed to knock him off balance. As Eternum tried to get back up, Sola gave a triumphant laugh. She didn't wait for him to fully recover before she was on her feet again, ready for the next round of their playful scuffle. She noticed him pushing himself up and braced herself for his incoming attack, hoping that it wouldn’t hurt as much as she thought it would.
