When stunted hand earns place

Eleftheria stood on the beach, hand up to shield their face from the sun, expression serious. They started out this trip looking forward to exploring the Oerwood as they searched for the Preying Orchid, perhaps vetting some potential long-term allies along the way. However, the closer they got to the actual shore in their borrowed-not-stolen boat from the harbor. Now, they were ashore, boots sinking into pale sand, looking out at their companions for the adventure. with man By mere monstrosity
"Alright, well, we're here. Remember that we're looking for a Preying Orchid. They're only about a foot tall; they look like regular flowers, really, but they actually have eyes and teeth when you look closely. I'm hoping to be able to spot one from afar with this," they pull out a simple telescope to show everyone before putting it away in their satchel. "The most important thing to remember is not to make too much noise, else the flower will just run away. Other than that, I don't really know much about the Oerwood, so we're just gonna have to be lucky and persistent to catch one."
They finish their little speech a bit awkwardly as they admit their inexperience with the jungle, but that's why they brought along others in the first place. Hopefully, they were also adventurous types.
Eleftheria is on a personal quest to find and catch a Preying Orchid! They have brought along two companions to help them on their journey. Who knows what the trio will run into?
