Killian walked down the path with his hands in his pockets, eyes cast at his feet and the dust they kicked up as he walked. He looked up when he heard a rustling up ahead, squinting in the sunlight for a moment. A patch of red fur caught his eyes, and he focused in on it to see a small fox. It didn’t occur to him that the animal might be a shifted human, where he came from shapeshifters weren’t all that common. He only had the ability because he’d been blessed by a goddess after all.So assuming this was an unassuming and normal animal, Killian decided to do what any sane person would do upon seeing a small fluffy critter, and wanted to touch it. He moved forward slowly watching the fox curiously. And he kept going, and it kept sitting, and then he crouched down near to it, hands on his knees and smiled. ”Whattup,” he said, sort of surprised it’d let him get this close. The moment of truth, Kiki reached out towards its tail, fully prepared for the consequences but also not caring.
