Tal looked at Thalassa like she was crazy, but he didn't have to say a word. Everyone else jumped in first, so the courier just stood back and crossed his arms, nodding emphatically along with the various protests until Maea laid down The Law and settled it once and for all.
Of course, that meant that they had to go back to dealing with the Tangleweeds and this time Tal grimaced, looking back at his old foes with glum resignation. "I guess they're all we got..." he agreed reluctantly. Heading back over to the enclosures they had made he eyed them critically and then heaved a sigh.
"Okay, maybe it won't be too hard," he conceded, heading for his tools and some fresh wood, throwing a hammer to Sah. "Right, so we're gonna build two walls t'connect th'cages, first," he explained. "Make it like a... a chute. Then y'can knock down th' middle walls between 'em with magic. Soon as the Voidy one's wall goes down it'll head straight for t'other one, I bet." Meanwhile both tangleweeds would stay safe inside their current enclosures while the boys worked to connect them!
As soon as he was sure that Sah understood the order of operations, Tal got to work building one side of the connecting chute between the two enclosures. Luckily they were pretty close together already, so the new walls only needed to be a few feet long.
Tal comes up with a plan to build two walls of a chute between the existing enclosures. Once it's done, Sah can use magic to take down the sides of the enclosures that are inside the chute, opening the way for the Void tangleweed to get to the non-infected one!
Then he gets to work building the new walls.
