Character Information
AppearanceYll has straight, thin, shoulder length black hair that is generally kept high in a bun, as he is usually working. His facial hair is kept shaved - enough - so his beard shadow generally gives his face a dirty appearance. He is on the shorter side, and his body style is gaunt, but with a wiry musculature, as he is persistently underweight. Yll has shockingly bright blue eyes that light up his dark figure. He wears whatever is available, always looking out of place in it and feeling uncomfortable, as if clothes do not belong on his body. He is not a handsome figure; his body is marred from many unsightly scars. His nose has an odd bend to it from once being broken. PersonalityOnce controlled by worry, work, guilt, chronic sleep deprivation, and years of situational depression hollowed out his personality into an unquestioning indentured labor machine. But now he finds himself in a new world, healing his heart, body, and soul with hard labor that he doesn't mind. He is a complicated man, overly stern and disapproving of himself, but an easy listener. He knows a few things about himself, like how to survive, and how fierce that desire is. He knows his instincts and heavily follows them in uncertainty. He has no leadership skills, little teamwork skills, and a kind of uncouth uncaring that edges most of his actions. He finds himself unsure if he is a man of few words or of many, unsure if he likes meat or fish better, and uncertain if he prefers to sleep during the day or night. This leads him to be sporadic and unpredictable in his patterns, though his thought process rarely wavers. Others might see him as neurotic. The most insightful of folks might see his stony presence as one of silent suffering, his over-working habits as lack of self confidence, and the rest of his manhood as a boy who grew up much too quickly. HistoryYll was middle-born to his mother and father, and two siblings, into a peaceful pack and a quiet, serene life. He was a wolf; they were wolves. One day an unknown pack, "Blight", swept in with unparalleled force, taking over with violence, beheadings, and gory demonstrations. Methodically, these captors separated them, forcing each wolf into long, confusing, tiring labor meant to break the spirit. But still young and not fully defeated in mind, Yll rebelled by quietly undermining their tasks and efforts so that many things failed and wasted. Visitors came then, telling Blight that they were falling behind and must do more. In response, Blight began spreading at a merciless pace, seizing packs and territory. The misery that Blight had forced onto Yll and his family had now been spread onto other souls, and this was his fault. He was broken. Soon after, it was revealed that someone had snitched on him, and that Blight knew what he had been doing. As punishment, he and others were shipped off to the center of Blight's parent empire, known only as "Empire", where he was made to fight as a slave for sport. Life went from bad to worse. While there in the center of activity and society, he discovered little about Blight except that it was just one of the many, many tentacles that formed Empire, sweeping across the land with blood and tears with methodical strategy in a quest for total land-mass domination. When he was no longer interesting to watch in the Empire's colosseum, merely winning and losing with no flourish or care for life, he was shipped out to the front lines, where he fought for Empire daughter packs expansions in a haze of unfeeling, unthinking brokenness. One day he found himself waking from the battlefield alone and abandoned, feeling as if he had come back from death but having only taken a few steps back from it. There was a portal, he took it. He found himself a man on the outskirts of farmland. He was given medical attention, work, clothing, food, and a bed from the farm owners, Dylan and Dare. They said little and explained less, preferring the company of ale to other souls, but Yll listened and worked. Slowly, he began to heal in mind, body, and spirit.
