Oerwoud - Rules

Soft sands and bright skies bleed into lush greenery brimming with life. Humid and hazy, the Oerwoud jungle is never quiet, never dull. Bursting with life and colour, all manner of creatures and plantlife may be found here. Ever evolving, this is undoubtedly one of Rae's favourite playgrounds. It takes about two weeks to cross the Oerwoud on foot.

Tanglefoot
Deep within the jungle, the ground is blanketed with sentient vines which tug and pull at all those attempting to explore, interspersed with rivers and streams that spider out like veins towards the ocean. Travellers who are agile and lightfooted enough may be able to dance their way across - or better yet, step upon the swathes of vines so that they might lift them higher. Some have even succeeded in living in the trees for a time, using the vines as their (albeit risky) walkways.
Never
Undergrove
A hollow beneath the jungle where the dirt that once supported the trees has been washed away. The roots are strong enough to keep the twisting pathways open, and a strange subterranean forest has grown here. Thick roots sprout strange luminescent leaves and fungus thrives in this dark, damp place.

Brittlebone Bridge
Blinkered on either side by a curtain of vines blooming with softly coloured flowers, no plank on this wooden rope bridge is the same. Cobbled together by different woods of all sizes and types, it leads directly to the Mistbanks and the Leap of Faith. Superstition advises never to part the vines or to look down should a plank of wood snap beneath you - doing so invites terrible misfortune.

Wishtide Waterways
A series of tiny streams thread through Oerwoud right out towards the ocean, the waters glittering with lost treasures. Long ago this area was used by smugglers to fence items, hence the abundance of riches hidden in the clear depths. The banks around the streams are rich and fertile, but very soft to walk upon - be careful not to get stuck!
