"No? I'd be a perfect scapegoat, though, if blaming the situation on someone would cement the rest of you together," she noted laconically. "I wouldn't mind - use whatever is available to you if it helps protect your people."
Emptying her glass, Maea pushed it away and folded her empty hands into her lap. Her damp clothes clung uncomfortably to her skin, and now that the warmth of the bar was starting to sink in - aided by the burn of alcohol in her veins - she was growing more aware of the droplets that trickled down her neck from the wet hair. Gathering the long locks over one shoulder, she began to coax it into a braid, slow and methodical.
"It's fine. I'll find some other way to be useful." Right now there wasn't really anything she wanted from Hadama. She still had most of the Climb to explore, looking for the flowers. Then there was the projects the Grounds was working towards, and her own quest... Maea didn't exactly lack for things to keep her busy.
