Pausing only to acknowledge her choice, Everest nods before leading them upstairs.
"Mateo had to channel to try and get us out of it, and...well, a large chunk of meat appeared in the air to lure the wolves away." It's an absurd story now that he thinks about it, but having grown up with Mateo as his best friend, that was just sort of par for the course.
Arriving at their room, Everest clears his throat a touch nervously before pushing the key into the lock and holding the door open for Isla to enter.
Within she'll find a nightgown laid out on the bed, a fire ready to be made within the hearth, and several books next to her bedside table. There's a bottle of white wine chilling on a dresser, with a bottle of red placed nearer to the fireplace. "I wasn't sure if I'd be accompanying you, so.." He nods to the books. "I wanted you to have a nice evening even if you spent it without me."
