Kaiden felt but ignored Hadama's pulse except for a nod. The collecting seemed to be going well until a dark shape flickered in the edge of their vision. Whipping around, the mershark gritted their teeth at the ominous shapes. I see enshadowed delphinids. Because, of course, they couldn't have nice things and find a friend for Blue in peace.
Clutching their bag of rocks tightly, Kaiden swam backward and away from the void creatures, picking up some more rocks as they went. They considered trying to attack the void-infected creatures, but there were just too many of them and the mershark could reluctantly admit to themselves that their magic wasn't strong enough to do anything.
