"Oh? Are you feeling warm inside?" Ever asks, pitching his voice low and trying to seem concerned as Isla asked for some internal antiseptic. "Is there something that needs to be cleansed?" He continues, waggling his eyebrows rather boyishly before beaming at her.
However as the Remedy begins to explain, the aviator's expression grows significantly more thoughtful. "Bloodboon?" Ever repeats, thinking about it for a moment as his eyes dip toward Isla's hand. "Aptly named. How..." Trying to figure out a non-meta polite way of asking, Ever frowns for a moment. "..for what you were able to give to her, was the cost the same?" As a doctor he thought Isla might be one of the few people in a position to answer that question, not that it mattered he supposed, though he was curious.
"Well, as your latest patient wisely said: No blood rituals, witch." Smirking, Ever leaned forward to press his lips against Isla's temple. "I'm not sure how hungry you still are, but I'd happily go back toward the fountain to take care of that." Really it was foolish of them to think that Isla would actually have an afternoon away from work, and foolish of them still for not having any fountain water on hand. Regardless, time spent with Isla was better than apart even if that time was spent tending to random citizens who called his girlfriend a witch and must have been so overcome with appreciation that she'd forgotten to say thank you.
